Yes, but DB usually doesn't like it when we talk about them. They say it violates their rules.
Do a search here for the past year and you can find posts they didn't delete. Most of the information is gone, though. It's a waste of time to write the same stuff that's already been deleted many times. I've had discussions about it with the board owner who after hearing that opiate potentiators are used by doctors and drug companies and are part of FDA-approved drugs and drugs in FDA-approved clinical trials ... well, then he agreed to allow some posts on the subject, but by that time i'd already had too much of my writing discarded and decided it's not worth the trouble of writing it again. Please don't PM me for info on this because i won't reply. Use Search to find what's left ... if anything. Look on the VIP side too if you're a member.

Grapefruit juice, Advil, and Aleve are OTC potentiators if you take them 45 minutes to an hour before you take hydro.
Take claritin in the morning to get rid of some of the side effects that can interfere with analgesia.
Take Pepcid AC at night because it resets your body for hydro the next day. If you want to know why, check some of my previous posts.

actually grapefruit juice works with benzos--there's an enzyme in the stomach it either blocks or doesn't....don't think I've ever heard the same thing on hydrocodone.....

You're talking about CYP3A4, and it's in the intestine and mostly in the liver, not the stomach. CYP3A4 and CYP2D6 act on hydrocodone. CYP3A4 inactivates it, while CYP2D6 turns it into Dilaudid. Which would you prefer?
The point is, blocking CYP3A4 inhibits its inactivation, and leaves more for CYP2D6 to turn into Dilaudid. It is generally thought that hydrocodone must be turned into Dilaudid to have effects, but some studies have shown that hydrocodone is active by itself. But no matter what, if CYP3A4 gets to it, there's less hydro or Dilaudid for you to enjoy.
Blocking CYP3A4 with grapefruit juice means a higher hydro level in the blood.
I'm actually kind of actually tired with people telling me, "actually, this or that.." when actually so few of these people have actually been accurate. Please don't post unless you KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!
