I just had a post deleted. I was replying and the most of the thread got de;eted. I do not know why???
But to the Mods does that cause our post count?post history to drop or do we keep the credit for all posts.
I understand of topic threads get removed but it is frustrating when you take time to ensure the information is correct to have it deleted sevral hours after you post it

There used to be a list of Top Posters on the Entrance page, with the top 20 posters listed along with their post counts. Admin wisely removed this, one of the reasons being that a number of people seemed to care a little too much! Post counts were being "fluffed up" with lots of meaningless posts, or so it seemed.
Debate still pops up once in a while as to wether or not post counts should be got rid of completely.

I've had a few post deleted. Never could understand why because I'm carely not to flame or offend anyone. Yet I've never given it enough thought to ask the moderators. Obviously, they thought something was not appropriate, whether I disagree or not. I'm glad you brought up the question about the post count though...BLESSINGS 2 U...Disciple

NO I dont care about my 'next title'. But I got you to think about why post are deleted....
I just get frustrated when a post or thread that I start gets deleted. I try not to post anything that is inflaming or hurtful. only things that I know to be true or helpful..
that was my only intention..

At first I was going to tell you to count your posts and compare, but then realized that that wouldn't be too practical 
I've had a few posts deleted that were in no way offensive, but were in a "controversal" thread.

Just to remind everyone: If a post you reply to gets deleted, all the posts under it go too! So you can have posts deleted and not do a thing wrong!
But, take it from an old timer, everyone has posts deleted at one point or another. If you're posting the wrong thing and it gets outta hand, they'll let you know, don't worry.

Personally I dont watch the post count, this is # 300 I think.
Great now I'm labeled an "Addict" well I guess if the shoe looks like it fits.

You can delete your post. Just hit the back button, and at the bootom is says edit or delete this post? I think you only have a limited time, so say you posted yesterday, you wouldn't be able to delete it today! Sorry... but, don't worry, everyone writes things that they sometimes regret later on. All things must pass...
