Just wanted to say thank you all. I have made an appontment with a doctor to get off this stuff (hydro) so I too will not be waiting for fedex or ups all the time. Especially thank you to Yawkaw3 for all the helpful information and the link to the physician locator for the buprenorphine. I have finally found the courage thanks to all of you to fix my life and get off this stuff. THANK YOU, Drmom

Congratulations! Me too! Actually I quit about 2 weeks ago. BTW we have the same friend..He knows what he is talking about so listen to him! When do you see the doctor? The first doctor I saw was bad experience....His prices and demands were outrageous... I came close to giving up!
Just remember that you have lot of options... you CAN find a good doctor who will help you get through this! I'd have to say that without this board, I would have never found out about suboxone treatment. Thank you to DB from the bottom of my heart!

Good luck to you DrMom for trying to live life without pain medicines. I wish I was at that point but alas I am not. I have tried hydro holidays before but the pain is so bad. I hate to think that at 34 years of age, with two young boys, I have chronic pain for life, but that is my reality. I am honestly not ready to be without meds yet. BUG HUGS TO YOU for being so strong and stopping meds. I would love to know how you do off meds and if you can give me tips and help me in the future, know i will be here to listen and read and follow
