I suffer from fibromyalgia, endometriosis, nerve damage in my hands and feet, and lupus (not to mention a lack of funds right now). I am posting this out of pure desperation as I am counting down to the weekend, which will be a painful one-- I simply can't afford to get an online consult, nor make a $200 app't with my pm doc, and I will do almost anything to avoid the almighty nightmarish ER. I am and have been taking up to four 7.5/325 percocets per day, and I am hoping that somebody on this board may have the urge to help a total stranger. I just thought I'd give this a shot to try and tide me over til I can (fingers-crossed) get into my pm doc ASAP. Just please drop me a message or an e-mail or whatever if you think you may be able to help. TY (name's Kel btw)
I'm not sure I understand. Are you looking for an OP with a low priced consult? I hear that Ephy has a consult for only $45! I feel badly that you are suffering so much. I know that you don't want to go to the ER, but if you are suffering and the weekend is here, it may be the only choice. Will your insurance cover an emergency room visit? If not, you could probably go anyway and just make small payments toward the bill until you are better off financially. They probably won't write the prescription for too many, but it could help tide you over until you can get a cheap consult. Will your PM doctor give you a prescription refill without a $200 office visit? That doesn't seem fair to have to pay $200 each time you go to get pain meds if the doctor already knows of your medical history. I wonder if he could call in a prescription for hydro for you to help tide you over. I don't believe that percs can be called in over the phone.
I hope you feel better soon. It sounds like you have alot of pain right now.
