nicotine

is nicotine a 'drug'? is it a stimulant? or is it a depressant? would it lessen W/D or elvate mood? I understand the other parts of nicotine tar/CO and others are bad for you. how is nicotine in itself?

thanks for any insight.

You are asking if nicotine is a drug????

how is it bad in itself excluding smoke, tar, and other chemicals? its not that bad, it just a bit of a cardiovascular stimulant. its neuro-protective and helps prevent parkinson's disease. it also increases focus, concentration and memory because its highly cholinergic

the reason I was will it help aleviate W/D. I have been off hydro/ and when taking my doses is 1/4 what it use to be. I was having craving for hydro and i was not going to give in. I was a smoker many uears ago. I did not want to smoke so I started what i use do to occasionaly was Chew. It helped me get through that craving and it also gave me a 'buzz' kinda like that warm felling youget from hydro.
is that because it relesed endorphins or a placebo effect??

you know about 50 million people in this country smoke right? all of them who go through major hydrowithdrawl suffer tremedously. if it helped we would know. if fact its real hard for someone going through withdrawl to smoke. nicotine will make them sick or be crappy when on withdrawl and they smoke less.
