first off if you have not had an MRI get one. you will know what is going on. Pain that continues that long means something is wrong and need to be fixed or treated. If ultram is not working you must confront your doctor. this is by no means easy. if he is not helping you find another or go to a pain mangment doctor. there is no reason to suffer. antidepresants will only help if you are also treating the source of the pain. from what you posted it does not sound that way. it is not common to hurt your thoricic regoin of your spine. in most people it is the lumbar and cervial areas that get injured. they are the main weight carring areas for your body.
get a second oppinon if you can. dont let this drag out. if there is damage you can make it worse by not treating the right problem.
