Is hydro actually becoming class 2 soon?
      #176396 - 07/27/04 08:57 PM

A friend told me that hydro is scheduled to become re-classified as a class 2 pain killer. I knew that there was talk but has that actually passed?

My doctor gives me perscriptions with a small number of refills which I prefer to calling his office each month for the medication.

Any info on whather this is a done deal about re-classifing hydro would be appreciated.

Yeah, I agree.

And remember straight Hydrocodone is already Schedule II (as is straight Codeine). It is only the combo's that are schedule III....

Hydro will never become Schedule II. Every year it is among the best-selling drugs in America, if not #1. That's only because it's the best CIII you can get.

It would be a very stupid business and political move to allow that, angering a ton of people who depend on it- that administration could count on losing quite a few votes IMO, especially among the baby boomers.
