I have never ordered from an IOP but am considering it.
I travel outside of the US at least 2 times per year.
Question:
Has anyone had a seizure notification from customs who has subsequently entered the US from abroad? And if so, does having a international seizure put you on a "list" for further scrutiny when entering the US from abroad?
Anyone?

Hi Don
I have never had a seizure but customs went thru my bags , saw my prescriptions and lectured me that I should travel with the original prescription. just told them I did not know. They were also scrutinizing my vitamins lol

Maybe I am just "lucky", but I have NEVER had anyone go thru any medications entering any country, and travel fairly frequently. If IOP order usually "hide" whatever at the bottom of a bottle of laxative pills - what customs agent is going to go thru a bottle of laxatives...
As for seizure letter and further scrutiny when entering the country - I highly doubt it - usually the right and left hand don't even know they are on the same body.

You will be just fine...Just don't trust your friendly neighborhood Post Office, especially if its at the end of the street you live on.
LOL Travel lightly and have fun!

PS: Oh yeah, Customs is FDA. No biggie. Just don't break the laws of the country you are visiting...confusing?? Yes, me too.

8 yrs ago, i was coming from China back toUSofA, the customs inspector asked if i was @@@@ that lived in @@@@@? i answered yes, thinking maybe he knew someone from there, immediately i was shunted aside and my suitcase absolutely ripped apart, even the lining was cut. i had received a few "love letters" before that incident, so IMO, they had, at that time, some sort of list, OR that particular customs inspector was THE one that intercepted my orders. but what a small chance of that, however could be.... and it wasn't like i'd ever ordered totally socially unacceptable med, just stuff like paracematol+codeine.

hmmmm... that's not good...
As I said, I travel alot and would hate to get on some list and get hastled constantly.
Guess I'll have to ponder this one...

however since that incident i have continued to travel, and never had anything like that happen again, so it was very weird. but most of my travel is now to europe and that might make the difference?
