Has anyone else received phone calls from online pharmacies recently? I think an online or 'offline' pharmacy is selling out information. My roommate received another phone call from a man identifying himself as Gilbert with 'pharmacy online'. The number was not identified with caller ID. My roommate asked what it was in regards to and he said I had ordered from them in the past and didn't mention any medication in particular. This is starting to frustrate me a little and I'd like any information as to who these people are?
Thanks for any info. you may have. They left an 800 number to call - PM me if you have had the same thing happen. Thanks..

I would refuse to talk to anyone or take messages from anyone if I was receiving anonomous calls. It's obviovs they don't want you to know who is on the other end. Could be the last people you want to know about your activities. MIB?

I'm more ticked at the solicitation, not concerned about 'activities' because there are none. I'm not actively buying 'controlled meds' without a prescription. For all I know, this could be an ex-friend sending my number all over the web. I just wanted to see if there's a pattern and identify the source if possible. I have no reason to worry about LE.

MLS -
Are you saying that you ordered medication from someone that called you anonymously over the telephone?
If this is so, please keep everyone updated as to the progress - I personally find it intriguing and would like to know the outcome.
I haven't received any phone calls - and don't want to. If I had though, I don't think I would have ordered, just out of sheer caution.
Best of luck to you!

Personally I think that's nuts. I wouldn't purchase any meds from some person who called me on the phone like that. That's nothing more than dope peddling IMO. Do you really want to get caught up in something like that?

I haven't had the same thing happen to me but, if you have Sprint as a carrier in your area you can add a product that will not let an unidentified call through to your home. If the person insists on calling you they must record their name and you must give them permission to allow the call. I know it sounds extreme. But if you put it on your phone for a month at least you'll know who is calling and it will stop. Good luck. Curiousdee ps-I think it was developed to keep the telemarketers at bay.

I, too received a call from someone claiming to be a pharmacy. His accent was so heavy that I messed half of what he said. He did mention that I ordered vicodin and diazepam. I said to leave a number and I would call back, then I accidently disconnected him. He never called back. I wonder if this is the authorities trying to nab people. Anyone know our rights?

I get these calls from time to time.. I just tell him that I don't need a refill on my medication at this time. If I need to order a refill.. I know how to do it!

Finally managed to get a number from one of the callers. It seems I'm on a list of spam-calling ranging from pharmacies, to Debt consolidations and the worst - AUTO loan guarentees. Non of which I need. I nailed one of them out of Hollywood, FL. Anyways, I told him if they kept calling I'd sue in civil court. No calls since.
FYI - Very handy link if you want to make money off suing e-mail spammers which I get plenty of too., it can be quite lucrative - Lol... Unfortunately, most spammers are hosted off-shore :-(

MLS - Anything further on your re-fill? They contacted me again and I grabbed the phone and told them where they could go.

All right, I feel really silly admitting it but, I fell for it on or around July 4th them having an uncanny timing and me being overdue on a refill. I said yes, asked a bunch of questions, got the same answers, very India like accent seemed like I am talking to an American Express rep or something. Anyways I have been very nervous ever since then. Never did find their website, although they had my e-mail and said they would send updates they never did. They charged my credit card right away on July 6th. I called the toll free number I was given multiple times but, was either disconnected after hours or it was always busy during the day. Today it arrived Fed-Ex. The place I used to fill this is closed, these people definitely knew I needed a refill, they knew the general category but, said they didn't know the exact perscription. I was just about to contact the credit card company. They came through but, will never do anything like this again, would recommend against it even though I was lucky this time. The perscription was cheaper (got 30 more $20 discount for same price) but, I can still get it cheaper/quicker elsewhere.
I am fairly certain were all talking about the same people.
