No us OP will prescribe this, but since you have a script, do a search for online Pharmacies, or try Walgreens online.

there are websites that will compair prices for you - search "oxycontin " in your search engine - you will find the sites ( since you have a script , there will be no problem ) - i do not know if you will be restricted to pharmacies in your state though , since it is a cII

Whatever you need them for: you have a very nice Doctor! You need to be bleeding out of the eyes, violently with an arrow in your head to get any kind of med these days.
Seriously, I am thinking it might be hard to find one. I just checked drugstore.com and even though they have a nice selection, they say they won't ship OC as it's a sch II med. I figure most online pharmacies are leery for the same reasons. They are so Best if kept off the board militaristic about it, and I think the upshot is they want you to show an ID and get your face on a pharmacy's camera. Even my local drugstores need to order OC a day ahead, probably from the manufacturer. I'm just saying it's hard to find, even for those 50 per cent of the pain population that are looking for it legally with a script. I'll keep an eye out and post back here if I find something. Good luck to you!

Oxy is a SchII substance - SchII substantces, to my knowledge, can not be filled by an online pharmacy even with a prescription. They cannot be dispensed through the mail. You have to pick up meds like these at your local pharmacy, in person.

( but maybe you still have to pick them up personally ) all i know for sure , is that they wont be mailed from out of state , no way Jose

Have you tried calling Costco? You don't have to be a member to use their pharmacy, Last I heard...
You are right to shop around because the difference in prices is shocking.

THE VA send whatever they want by mail.. Maybe that's the VA but don't say nobody sends sched. II by mail and it is illegal. Tell that to the VA cause they surely do.

I have a friend that gets them free from Purdue Pharma with their patient assistance program. You can do a search for oxycontin at www.rxassist.org to get all the info that you need to see if you qualify .Also how to contact Purdue Pharma. They also have a lot info for other free drug programs too, such as roxicodone.Hope this helps.

my wife got her oxy 5s filled at wall-mart last night she got 18,with no prescription card the price was $8.76.in sc the law says no refills on this med,and they put an enormous sticker that says so on the bottle.the same goes for dilaudid-hydromorphone-.good med but makes my wife very hateful.

It's a federal law that says you can't have any refills. It covers every state in the U.S.
Contrary to what some above had said, there's no law against sending them to you by mail.
The problem with getting them filled by mail is that C-II scrips expire seven days after they're written ... so if you get it to the online pharmacy after they expire, it'd be illegal for them to fill it. Some state even make them expire even sooner than seven days. So the online OPs will require that you send them the scrip by an overnight service for C-IIs.

No US pharmacy can fill that script through the mail. You need to deliver the script because of it's schedule. In the US,it's not available in generic, so you will pay $220-280, for 60 40 mg. I was on that script for a year and it ran my insurance benefits dry in a few months. Some independent pharmacies are cheaper than franchises. Good luck.

oxycodone and oxycontin are not the same. oxycontin doesn't even come in 5mg. oxycontin is time released and costs lots more.

With Walgreens, I order my refills online and then go pick them up, but I do have to turn in my original script to them in person.

Call around to area pharmacies and tell them you have a prescription for n oxycontin nmg and are trying to find the best deal.
Somepharmacies make it apolicy to discuss the availability of controlled substances via phone for fear of reobbery, but I have found the "hoe much does this script cost?"question to be useful in getting you info.

JUST a note** The VA for those that don't know is medical care for retired military & family etc... I know someone that has to have oxycodone through them. The doc gives a script that has 2 refills on it but I am pretty sure when you call they have to just re issue a new script. That just means you don't come back to the doctor for 3 months. And yes, they ship all medicine through mail unless you live close enough to come pick it up. They also have their on pharmacy. DOctors new rule there at least one of them: Drug test to make sure no other opiate based products are in your system and not abusing. It is a new doctoor there and he/she says it is his/her rule.

Believe me, I have had knee lesions and probs since birth and your friend has a sane doctor. But the price differences are criminal. I wouldn't see it changed because I believe in free enterprise, but for a medicine that quickly becomes part of a patient's monthly budget, you really have to do some shopping!!! I hope since my last post you have found some luck for your friend and it is very nice to try to help in any way you can... Is she related to someone in the Service at all... Does anyone know if there are pharmacies at the PXs on bases, and if so, what are their policies? That could be a possibility...

If anyone is using the VA, I don't know of any of these people personally but if anyone is eligible, sign up for va benifits and you get your scripts for about $8.00 a supply it was $5 but they went up a little. I have heard some people using the va complain but i sure wish I was spending $8 a script.

Hey guys, I recently changed pharmacies since med card no longer covers Oxycontin. At martins it wasabout $350 for 60 x40mg.I checked out Wal-Mart & It was only $ 290 for the same thing. They are the cheapest I have found .If you have a legal script don't even mess with online pharms.Besides,I don't know if it is just my state(WV)I'm pretty sure it is a federal rule you have to show a picture ID when getting class2 meds. I know from experience I left my wallet at home 1 time & they would not turn over the meds.I had to go home & get ID & They knew me!I've been going there for 2 1/2 years. Check aroundsome will give you the price on the phone as long as you don't ask if they have them in stock. Skip2 Good luck & peace out. Oh yeah you also HAVE to pick up the scriptNo phone in on class 2They used to mail mine directly to the pharmacy, but would NOT mail it to me.I don't think even that is allowed any more.

You have a scrip. Well don't just let it sit there while you price shop. It may expire worthless if you wait.
It's because the mail is too slow. C-II scrips expire after 7 days under federal law. Some states make it even sooner. Those scrips have get to the pharmacy before they expire. That's a very big reason why only a few big mail-order OPs will deal with C-IIs; you need to send them the scrip by Priority Overnight or Red Label service and follow up with a phone call as soon as it's delivered to make sure they have it in the right place and know it's arrived. They'll send someone down to Shipping/Receiving to hand carry it to the pharmacy side.
You know those mail-pharmacy services that come with a prescription card where you send in three months of scrips and get three months of meds for the price of two? Well, at least one of those will handle C-IIs and OCs, but the scrip has to be written just exactly per their directions or else the discount won't work. I know someone who tried it and they lost his scrip and he had to go back to the doctor to get a new one. The doctor looked at him like he was pulling a fast one but he told the doctor to call the prescription service to verify his paper printout from the on-line pharmacy that he brought to his office visit ... it showed that they had logged a scrip in from that doctor as received from FedEx, but they lost the paper scrip before it got to the pharmacy operation so they couldn't fill it. The doctor mumbled harrumph and put the paper in the file. The patient got a new scrip but said he wouldn't use that mail service again ... saving the money wasn't worth the hassle. He'd rather bring it to Wal-Mart which was almost as cheap after adding in the shipping.
The major operations (like PCS) that deal with huge mail volume are like factories. They can have robots fetch the meds and fill the bottles. No lie. It's cheaper to operate once set up, more accurate, and the robots don't steal pills (they just break them and spill them).

According to my calculations, if Alphaman has not found a pharmacy yet to fill his script, it is now expired. (It has been 8 days since the original post)
Alpha did you get your prescription filled??

You need to show a license in order to even pick up a script like that at Walgreens, so I don't think you can "order" it anywhere. My mother couldn't even pick mine up after i had surgery, I had to be there w/ my ID... so good luck to you!! BTW~ Very Nice DR!!!
