Hi my mother uses your online doctor occaisonally and she just had a consult with them, she hasn't used them since about Feb of this year and when the dr. asked her if she had a pharmacy request she said no, and they said they were sending her script to the medicine cabinet. When she told me that I was perplexed. I thought that YOd uses Biwise and woody's I don't think I have heard of the Medicine Cabinet. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks you

I believe they are using the Medicine Shoppe. A friend received an order from them using YOD, she had no complaints regarding this pharmacy.

Hi,
I just received my order today from The Medicine Shoppe and I was short exactly 30 hydros. The bottle clearly stated 120 and the only reason I counted was because the bottle looked obviously short. There were 90 in the bottle. I immediately called the pharmacy hoping that they could fix this. They were super nice, they asked me some detailed questions about the bottle, and she promptly told me that it was their mistake (she didn't say why exactly) and that the missing 30 would be shipped out early next week. So, I'll post back with the results when I get the package. But as far as customer service goes, they were pretty dang good. An actual person (a very nice and friendly person) answered the phone the first time I called, and the whole conversation lasted a few minutes tops. Hopefully everything will follow through as smoothly as this and I'll be a very happy camper with nothing whatsoever bad to say about them! Only good!
Thanks much!

None of my business....but sometimes these things are better left vague. The reason being is that some people will read about your legit shortage and then call the pharmacy making up a shortage because they want more meds.
just my opinion....but if I had a shortage and called the pharmacy and they took care of it, I'd probably just post I had a customer service issue that was taken care of and you were very happy with them.

Well I think it was ok what was posted about the shortage because the customer service rep asked specific questions about the bottle, and I would bet my house on the fact she was asking to see if the bottle was a 90 count or a 120 count bottle. A lot of times they have these meds precounted and they probably grabbed the wrong size bottle, so the rep probably asked her about some numbers that are imprinted on the bottom of prescription bottle. These numbers are codes that indicate how many pills can fit into a certain bottle. So a person would only be able to get their shortage fixed if they had a bottle with a code that indicated 90 count. So not people could report that kind of shortage illegitmately.
Take Care,
Myrrine

Buey,
Well you know what they say about opinions!!! I thought this board was to discuss specific issues regarding their experiences with various OP's. It seems to me that this is what ro jo was doing.Oh well, just my opinion.

What state is this medicine shoppe in? FLORIDA?
I know it's an independently owned franchise (the medicine shoppe name that is). Maybe they are trying to get around the North carolina issues.

Amazing! I've posted a total of 29 times and already blasted for something. Should've known that was coming.
I'm curious what these boards are for? I see time and time again that somebody posts too much information etc...what's the point of saying that there's a customer service issue? That could mean anything from an address change to non-delivery. If it's that vague, why bother posting at all? Please clarify for me exactly what is "allowed" to be said on the boards. I thought that the point is to share info and experiences... Never mind, I'll just go back to lurking...
BTW Medcine Shoppe is great. I had a customer service issue that was promptly resolved. (is that OK to say?)

ro_jo,
You didn't deserve a blast. Compared to what has been posted regarding shortages on the NWW board, what you said made sense and had a plausible explanation.
I agree that widespread talk of shortages may encourage fibbers, but the cat is already out of the bag on that one.
Don't give it a second thought!

I emailed Kathy, and she confirmed they are now using this new pharmacy in addition to the others (Woody and Bi-Wise).
She said that their prices are comparable to Woody's. Meds are like $8 more but it is offset because their shipping prices are cheaper. FedEx Priority Overnight is only $18 with them.

Does anyone know if they send an email stating that your order has been sent? Or does your order just show up?
Thanks,

Ro Jo..
I think your "#90 vs #120 post" was just right..very informative and non-offensive..just an information type deal..sharing an experience and a good customer service experience..EXACTLY WHAT this is board is supposed to be about! EXACTLY..as far I understand it. You did fine and I see nothing wrong..makes them look like good folks to me and easy to work with when they slip up..an easily understood mistake..easily corrected by good, honest, willing people.
Ro Jo..do as I do..always don your flame-proof suit when posting and it doesn't hurt a bit..believe me..I KNOW!!
You're just fine as far as I can see...thanks for a good post.

Talk about ANYTHING. What you definately don't want to post are doctor names, return address specifics and packaging (moreso w/ IOP's.)
You are fine. Keep posting. You can't make everyone happy.

Oh, please. Your right it's none of your business and at the very least you should have PM'ed this. Why is this a concern of yours?
Ponder this: I wonder how many people now got the idea to do just what your so concerned about simply because you suggested it? I can tell you it never occurred to me reading the origional post until you so clearly pointed it out.
Finally, especially since they are dealing with medicines, I would think most Pharmacies have an inventory control system so they can match what they have in stock compared to what was ordered and then filled (sold). Prescriptions are tracked via computer so it makes all this very easy.
In other words getting away with what your describing may not be so easy in any case.

The only thing I would add to this is the NWW fiasco, Buey does have somewhat of a valid point, but a 120ct that comes up 90 in a 120ct bottle is obviously a mistake but look at all the people that jumped on the NWW shortage bandwagon, I would pretty much bet that's why Buey posted that, and it really didnt sound like a flame to me......
Tray
And no its not something you can get away with easily as pharmacies keep strict inventories on narcotics.
