I haven't placed a COD order in the past, but have one on the way (er, hopefully). At any rate, if I am not home at the time the delivery guy shows up, can I make arrangements to pick up the package and pay for it at the hub?
How many delivery attempts will they make - and will they leave me notificiation at my door that they were there and how much they need?
COD orders are pretty easy. If you go through ups and you are not at home they will leave you a package notice on your door. On the notice there is a toll free number you can call. It's the headquarters for ups. Just tell them that you want to pick up your package at the hub because it's your medication and they will tell you that your local hub will call you back within the hour. They don't know there what time the drivers will return to the hub so they have your local one call you. I've never had a problem with this and they are very helpful if you just explain that it's your medication. The local hub will call you and tell you when your driver will be returning and what time you can come pick up your package. It also says on the notice exactly how much your COD amount is. So if you know you won't be home you can wait to pick up the money order until you are on your way to get the meds. Oh and if you have caller id it works out kinda nice because when ups calls back you will then have the local hub number (never listed in the darn phone book...lol) But, all in all pretty easy. The hardest part is getting through to a real person instead of going through the automated Best if kept off the board on the phone when calling ups. If you choose not to pick it up at the hub ups will attempt to redeliver your package 2 more times.
hope that helps you.
