I have to say I just love my UPS man, he is the nicest guy, I ordered 30 hydro from rxgooddeals yesterday so I could taper and quit and deal with my endo a different way instead of taking hydro for it, anyway, the lady at rxgooddeals told me it was for $118 and i got the MO well my UPS man came and he said the amount was $138, I said what!! He said he could not take my $118 even though that is what it was suspose to be for, and I had no cash or checkbook on me and the kids were getting ready to come home from school early so I could not leave and go to the bank, so my UPS man told me he would stop by the post office and get a MO order for the remaining $20 and then I would pay him back, I could not believe he did this for me, I will pay him back $30 and maybe make him some cookies or something, I mean that was so darn nice of him to do for me take money out of his own pocket to do this, and then stop by the post office to get the MO. Do any of you have any stories of your UPS man doing nice things for you like that? Just thought I would share my experience, cause I really did not think that there were any nice people like that around anymore. And also rxgooddeals sent me 60 instead of 30, which shocked me to but I guess most people order 60 instead of 30 and they are so used to filling the 60.

Mine is great - never any curious looks or attitude. In fact, he usually hits my street around 5:30pm, but my town is very small and in the course of a day I often see him around in the mornings and if I have a delivery he will stop so I can just get it wherever.
He also knows the severity of recent health issues and never fails to ask about me and tell me I'm looking great (I've felt so ugly and ragged out since all that). He's a great guy and my Fedex guy is even better. And yes, I always remember them at Christmas - or if I happen to be stopped by one of them near the dairy bar I'll buy them a cold drink. I feel blessed, after reading some stories on here about comments you guys have had made by the drivers.
Also, my UPS guy has missed me a couple of times when I was still at work and would swing back by just before leaving town to ensure he catches me.
lilbit, I also had my UPS guy do something similar when one order had a different amount due - he followed me across town so I could get another mo to make up the difference. I call that service.

He's OK - but not the greatest by any stretch of the imagination.
In order of like to dislike, here's my top 4
1) Fedex guy - wonderful. Knows me well, goes the extra mile, and is cool about everything. Hasn't embarrassed me or misdelivered.
2) UPS dude - OK, not bad at all. However, unlike the Fedex guy, the UPS dude does not go the extra mile to always deliver to me directly. Always leaves a note though. Also is very discreet, like the Fedex guy.
3) USPS man - Fine, standard. Nothing great, but no complaints either.
4) Airborne/DHL DEMON
Known for misdelivering. Never rings the bell, leaves packages at the office (I am in an apartment complex) without leaving a note, ringing the bell, or letting me know in any way. Sometimes just chucks the package down, hoping I will find it.
It is a permanent feature of Airborne.
-once delivered airline tickets by leaving them outside my front door. No ring of the bell.
- delivered my Powerbook to the rental office. I was unable to track my package, and received no notification. My computer was overnighted, but it took me 4 days to locate it due to lack of communication..
- 2 days ago. C-2 meds arrive by Airborne, as part of a shipping service from the pharmacy. (BTW I am talking about a big reputable pharmacy and a totally legal service, so no worries!). NO ring of the bell, no tracking #. No note, no call. The envelope said 'extremely urgent ' on it.
Also, it was delivered a day late. Not good with this kind of med.
Maybe went a bit off topic as far as UPS, but at least I got in a good shot at DHL. They SUCK, always have, and I always avoid them if I can. Sometimes it is out of my hands, though.
If you want to lose meds, or gamble on where they get delivered, use Airborne/DHL.
Thanks,
Redness

My UPS guy is really great too! If IM not home, he just "leaves" it in the door. What a man! Around x-mas time when he made a delivery, I made sure I gave him a good tip
My Fed-ex guys the same, except when he leaves anything he rings the doorbell. Sometimes he'll wait if its around lunch time, then we can chit chat a little over some iced tea.
I never forget all the things both men have done for me. They are both great guys!
There are some UPS guys that take my UPS guys place sometimes, and they are JERKS! asking Q's about my PKG ect..

Sounds like my guy, he did the same thing for me since then I always tip him a 5 and he really goes out of his way for my he'll come back twice in a day if i'm not home and asks when it's the best time to come, he's a great guy just trying to make a living, I think he knows whats in those little bags and always asks me how I'm doing.
I even called his manager and gave him an atatboy and he came back to thank ME, for what were paying 5 dollars won't kill us and its well worth it cause they could give us a hard time if they wanted to, so be nice and tip the guy

I have been wondering for awhile if I should tip my FedEx and UPS guys? Especially my FedEX guy. He is here almost every day since I shop so much on line. I'm pretty house bound. He used to irritate me 'cause he made remarks about my shopping. I buy from Neiman Marcus and Saks & we don't have them where I live now. Besides I can't get out of the house much anyway & really hate shopping--witchy saleswomen, etc. (not all but some!) Anyway, these guys are great & I think I will tip them the next time!

My UPS guy is a Lady. She is very nice and always tries to talk to my barking dog to calm him down. It never works but she tries. I always have my storm door open with a little slot to pass small packages and sig box so she doesn't get bit. Now the UPS guys that just deliver packages from computer store or whatever, just leans on the door bell then throws the package down. That enrages me. What if the package is fragil.
I get different people from Fed-Ex. They don't throw packages. When I have to sign they just hand the board thru the slot and lay down the package or pass it thru and say " Have a nice day." So I am lucky here.

I could make a movie about the UPS guys that make deliveries to me......
I have an 95 lb. Airedale that is a house dog (well furry family member really). In his 7 years he has never bitten anyone but he is the worlds best doorbell! And he barks like he is about to not only eat the delivery guy, but the door and his truck as well!
Anywho, one of the UPS guys is hispanic and terrified of dogs, he told me this when he first needed my signature. Now ,unless I have to sign for the package. I hear the dog bark, the doorbell ring and by the time I walk 5 feet and open the door. I see a package on my porch and the back of Brown going over the top of the hill about 60mph! I swear this guy must hit the doorbell with the package as he drives by my house! There is no way he could cross the 60 feet of my front yard that fast!
You should hear what happened the time a non-english speaking Chinese delivery guy rang my doorbell...........

My UPS guy is my cousin so I guess he's ok
My FedEx guy is super too, we've become good friends and he calls on me for help and advice with his PC.
I tip them both, you should always do that, it helps a great deal to have them on your side especially when your out of meds and want to see that truck ASAP. A few dollars or a cold drink go a long way in showing appreciation.

Gage- how've you been? Haven't talked to you in a while.
My UPS man is an a$$hole. They rarely make the commitment times.
I used to have a woman driver who always made it early in the morning- she was awesome, we became friendly- but took a cushy office job instead.
I truly despise UPS. It really is a matter of the dispatcher- I've filed complaint after complaint and no action.

Yawkaw, it is good to hear from you again! I hope you are doing well.
UPS is sketchy here but FedEx guy is real friendly. I should tip them I guess. I shop a lot on the 'net so I get a lot of deliveries. Meds only occasionally. I wish I'd get something from the FedEx guy just so I could tip him. He is so nice & so cool. Always gives my dog a treat. Anyhow, I would say I've not had a problem with either delivery service but I always get the same FedEx guy and they seem most reliable of the two. Always get different UPS guys or women. It does seem like more & more of the places I shop from are using FedEx instead of UPS.

My UPS person is wonderful!! I've never ordered anything C.O.D., so when Rxgooddeals order came I had cash in hand. My guy asked if I needed it that day and went to the PO (just a couple of blocks away) and got a money order for me! he's a doll and I'm wondering too; do we usually tip our deliverers?

I had never tipped my FedEx guy & he delivers a lot of pkgs here--mostly clothes & housewares. Today he delivered a quilt and shams for my daughter and an e-bay item for my son. I tipped him $20 & he was pretty embarrassed. This guy is so wonderful. I told him consider it Christmas in June 'cause I didn't ever tip him at Christmastime. I had no idea people tipped delivery drivers! I do tip furniture delivery people but this is a first for me tipping a courier.

I have the best UPS guy in the world! I had a package due for delivery (not meds) on Friday 6/11 but it was reschedualed for Mon. 6/14 because of the national day of mourning. When he showed up he said he was really sorry and if I ever needed my package a bit earlier in the day I could give him a call then he gave me his cell #!!!
I have given him cold sodas on hot days and I'm always super nice to him but next x-mas he'll be getting something nice from me that's for sure!
My Fedex guy is all business. He's not rude or anything but not very friendly either.

Do some of you live in Mayberry? Just kidding... My UPS and Fed Ex people are always changing. I've never had the same driver. They've never been rude, mostly always friendly and very professional. I was unaware that it was customary too tip. I assume since; they are providing a service then it's probably beneficial to tip.
I do know for a fact that they would never take money out of their own pocket to pay the difference on a money order; let alone wait for me to go and get another money order.
I did wait around all day for a UPS delivery not long ago.
The driver never rang the door bell. He just left a slip and said he'd be back around 2 p.m. He never showed back up and I had to go to the UPS hub and pick it up.
I wish I had a twenty dollar bill laying around; it sure would help paying for my refills.

Every UPS man I have had has been the nicest guy. It isn't always the same guy but usually varies between two/three since I live in a fairly big city. Since they do vary, I haven't really considered tipping them but I'm glad someone mentioned it. The guy that just left mentioned how hot it was and I sure wish I'd pulled a cold Snapple out of the fridge for him. How thoughtless of me, I feel bad now but I'm going to be prepared from now on with a cold soda and, later, a Christmas bonus. I'm usually a pretty thoughtful person so I'm a little ashamed of myself, especially since my fiance and I both are chronic pain sufferers and I also order some computer gadgets and collectibles so we give him a pretty good workout. I will say the same for the Fed Ex man too. Not to veer too far off subject but one of my men in brown can only be described as a Brad Pitt lookalike with a little darker hair. Those are my favorite delivery days, of course. LOL. I also have two barking dogs to fend back and they are nice about that too.

I'm sorry that you don't have a nice Brown guy! I'd share mine if i could. It makes all the difference. I live in a fairly large city and have wondered how I lucked out. I guess they have their assigned routes and pretty much stick to it. I'll share my guy with you

I have only used Federal Express because I have never had a problem with them. Btw my FX guy is such a hunk!!, anyway I ordered something on line for father's day (not meds), and my only option was UPS. I checked the status in the morning and it said on truck for delivery..UPS guy came and went no package. Check tracking on line again, it says package was left at hub. Hugh? Anyway long story short, UPS tracked down my package and made a special delivery the same day to me. And I live in a large city where most times they just say tuff, wait until tomorrow..Just thought UPS deserved a shout out for helping me. Btw my UPS guy is nice but very reserved..always professional.
