Sigh...
I've been in a good mood, and posting quite prolifically today, however, I do need some help for the moment.
In the last few days, my hands and feet hurt. The pain comes in waves, and is shockingly painful and sudden. It's both feet, both hands, however the LH is the worst. The pain is a new addition to my wonderful stable of bodily pains (is life too weird or what?), and has not yet been reported to any doctor.
I will, when I get a new appointment, but I can't for a while.
I was hoping I could get some ideas from you on this board.
The pain , as said, is sudden, intense, and feels like an 'electric pin' stabbing me in the hand. I'm built like a retired pro wrestler but the stabbing brings tears to the eyes.
Not sure if it might be related, but based on my last MRI, I have some DDD, bulging discs L4-L5- S1, and a bigger bulge at the T11 site.
Anyone got a Gray's? I mean that knows how to interpret it, because that would not describe me.
Thanks for any help!

I can't say about the feet or back, but the electric shock pain in the hands could be carpel tunnell syndrome. I have that. Hands go tingly numb, electric shock pain while sleeping that shoots up to my elbow and down to my fingers, and occasionally I have intense pain as if my first three fingers are being squeezed in a vice with no let up. To do a home test to see if your carpel tunnel is inflamed...on the palm side of your wrist tap firmly but not too hard on the center of the base of the wrist, if you feel nothing its not the carpel tunnel, if you feel a sort of electric twinge anywhere in your hand or fingers, it is carpel tunnel syndrome. I think the feet there is tarsal tunnel syndrome but I dont know much about that. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice.
The tap test gives me tingling hands, so it's too annoying to continue
But I guess that's all I need now.
It is sooo in its infant stages, I believe. I am probably hypersensitive to pain stimuli due to years of undertreatment, so I will let it rest till it gets really intrusive.
Does it ever spontaneously heal, btw? Can you tell I'm no doctor? hehe..

if u stop doing the repetitive motions that caused the carpel tunnel syndrome in the first place, it will slowly get a little better. but it comes back very rapidly if u resume those motions. if u continue the repetitive motions it can get so bad that your hands will go numb and not function. it's just another joyous little ailment....dang, my mother never told me that a person's body falls apart with age and work.

I don't believe this is a good test as EVERYONE (even my 2 children) whom I have tried this on have had substantial tingling and electrical feelings in their hands...and I only only said, "tell me if you feel anything when I do this." My 10 yr old said.."that feels tingly!" I KNOW she doesn't have carpal tunnel...nor did most of the people I tried this on.
Not trying to be a pain, but when I tried this on myself and got "positive" results (and I am sure I have CTS ONLY in my right hand) on BOTH hands, I tried it out on my kids and my friends. Not a single person got a "negative" response.

tb1218...
Oh, I believe you! I just wanted to point out that I wonder if this is a fool-proof test as everyone I tried it on got the tingling pain or electric feeling. I was just tapping lightly with the eraser side of a pencil. I can't imagine the pain it would have caused with a reflex hammer or something heavier!

Thats what he used a reflex hammer (didnt remember what they were called). There must be a certain degree that they measure the reaction by, Im going to conduct some experiments with people I know who do and dont have it, just for fun.
