I had a bit of a motorbike accident the other week,long story,anyway the doc has just palmed me off with real weak candy,codeine/paracetemol(90%paracetemol)and their not workin in the least.So my mate gave me these tramadol injections(there foreign,spain i think)i havnt tried them cos i cant read the leaflet lol,anyone know anything about these meds?are they ok?will they work?how much should i take?etc.etc..Ive also got some liquid,tramal(same as tramadal i think)gots orais(foreign again obviously lol)100,l,anyone got any experience with this?And if there both Best if kept off the board can someone please reccomend a good pain med?and where to get it from,thanks a lot.

First, be careful! Are you injecting IM or IV? Just be aware tramadol can & does cause seizures, so keep your dose to just 100 mg q 4-6 hours, and if you notice you start "twitching" as your going to sleep, jerk awake etc, lay off it to avoid having a full blown seizure...otherwise should be ok...or you could go with an OP in US..sounds like your from Europe?

tramadol works just fine when you swallow it. tramadol is not very good at causing sudden rushes of pain relief or euphoria. it takes a long time to kick in orally too, and its very steady and pretty long acting. it just doesnt have a quick rush like other opioids does, and im glad it doesnt because that makes it much much less abused and keeps it uncontrolled. some people dont respond to it well, anyone who does should find it equal to or superior to codeine.
big brother (hi) cut open my recent tramadol package, looked inside, and resealed it and sent it on its way, its uncontrolled and theres no problem ordering pills from International OPs . they care about controlled stuff. tramadol is decently priced too .

id also like to add that its not like other opioids and theres no reason to take a lot of it. why keep going up in dose? Tolerance sits in anyway and it gets more convulsive in high doses with more side effects. the FDA maximum dose 400 mg, but i bet what ever you get out of 100 - 200 mg, there would be no added benifit for long going any higher.

Thanks for getting back to me Yeah,your right im in the UK so that qualifies for Europe these days lol,.I dont know which way i'l be injecting it,ive rather do it the IV way as i know what im doin,red cross courses etc,as for IM i wouldnt really know were to inject?Only place i think of is buttocks but ive heard you've got to be real carefull as there's a nerve or vein close by and you cause a lot of damage.Otherwise its the top of the arm,IV seems best bet unless you can steer me right with IM injecting thanks.Cheers
