Dazzle - I can honestly say you are the first person I have ever heard say negative things about FedEx. Not that I don't completely believe you - please!!!! I think you are right, then, that it has got to be location. Sorry that you have difficulty with them. Lucky for you that you have the exact opposite experience with UPS than pretty much everyone else has, or else you would never get deliveries!

Fedex delivered my package to the wrong town three times and took it to the wrong house and left it on someone else's door step once. This was all with in about six months. I still like them though.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones, but I have had great experiences with UPS and FEDEX. I am in Houston, and my UPS always gets here before 9am, and my fedex is rarely later than noon, but the driver has let me know that he can just leave my packages at the hub to pick up at 9 rather than wait for the delivery, very nice, older guy. Not to mention, everytime I have ordered 2 day shipping, it takes only one day.

I hope I am not jinxing myself, but I have no complaints about either so far.

Just talking,
S

Hi,

I do a few things to help manage pain while keeping tolerances minimal.

during the day when there's stuff to distract me from the pain I try and manage with a couple of aleve... if I'm to achy then I'll add some tramadol/ultram and/or a soma.

and the sustained relase tramadol is wonderful... I get mine from www.mastersmarketing.com

now for trying to go to sleep and hurting that's another matter...

I try and alternate taking a 10mg valium + a drink (ie rum and coke) and just going for the sedation and sleeping with a vicodin/percocette type (5mg oxy/hydro-apap combo) type to actually relieve the pain and allow me to sleep.

that way I'm not doing either the valium or the percocettes every day and I still get rested.

as for your situation you did the valium with alcohol too! nyquil is what??? 50 proof!

might as well have something that tastes good.

I know this will probably be hard to believe but I had 3 10mg valuimes in me and a 2mg of klonipin. No luck sleeping I hurt sooo bad. Finally I got up and took some nyquil and I guess I dozed off around 5:ooam but woke up at 7 and was just miserable. I think I will check out that web site and try to taper. Of course I couldn't hold off, as soon as I could I took 2 of my 10/500. Now I'm just kind of walking around like a zombie from lack of sleep. But what scares me is hearing that this actually gets worse on day 3 and 4. I don't know if I can stand it.
Great to have all the suggestions and support. Thank you All you have been very nice and understanding.

I thank you for your suggestions and will probably try some of them but I am a bit confused about the sentence with the exclamation point after saying that I did the valium and alchole too. What do you mean?

Here is my experience w/ UPS today. Had a tracking number as of last night. Great! always like to have those. Checked late this morning because no delivery. Tracking site says "package mis-sorted" re=routed and on time. Well I did not want to trust that so I called CS for UPS. At first the guy said oh yeah it was misdirected but it will be there Monday. Oh no! I said that was not acceptable as the package was medication and I only had enough for today NOT enough till Monday. (for all they know its blood preasure medication which we all know you cannot, CANNOT skip) He had me talk to a "supervisor" who said they would "try" to have it hear tomorrow. Saturday. I guess we'll see. Why does this always happen to me? I don't live in a little hodunk. But I can never seem to get things on time.

This may not be the right place for this, since it is a discussion on UPS....but it was brought up. If you mix ANY kind of alcohol with tranquilizers, the effects are bad. Most likely you can have loss of memory of what occurs. Believe me, I made that mistake, and woke up the next morning not remembering the previous evening. Fortunately I was with a trusted friend and I learned from my mistake.
Please take caution; the bottle says do not mix with alcohol for a good reason.

I cannot stress this point enough..as a nurse of over 20 years, I have taken care of MANY people in their 20's that ended up in a persistant vegetative state because of mixing tranks and booze...it might seem like fun, but it's a deadly combination. DON'T DO IT!
