Fox news investigates iops

I saw this on Fox news Saturday night and if you watch clip real closely I think many of you may recognize a particular site.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,120471,00.html

I'm sorry, I can't get link right but if you go to fox news 'top stories' and do search on blackmarket online pharmacies you should find it. If someone can help me and edit link I would appreciate it.

LINK

There seems to be a glitch and the board does not understand some links unless they are posted using the link codes.

LOS ANGELES — As many as one in three Web sites that sell prescription drugs online are black-market pharmacies, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

Fox News reporters were able to order discounted painkillers from India, sedatives from Sweden, sleeping pills from Mexico and anti-depressants from Indonesia — all without a doctor's prescription and hassle-free. And they arrived via mail in one to three weeks with no warning labels and the expiration date blocked out.

"It's not like buying a shirt or novelty item on the Internet," said Daniel Hancz of the Los Angeles County Health Department (search). "These are dangerous drugs that have serious side effects. And if you purchase them on the Internet, it's like playing Russian roulette."

Although many say buying meds online can be risky business, Web sellers are much harder to stop than dealers on the street.

"It's going to be very difficult to tell people not to try something they feel is a quick and inexpensive alternative," said pharmacist Mark Umekubo.

A bill is before Congress that would allow states to stop online sales but experts warn that policing overseas e-pharmacies (search) is practically impossible. Until then, the best weapon, they say, is to educate people about what they're getting into.

Thanks so much for that post.
I thought if the pill "looked" authentic it was the real deal.
Yikes, was I ever wrong.

OK, first of all, I have to say I seriously dislike Fox News. Fair and balanced? Hardly. The anti-OP/IOP sentiment the media is creating and feeding is absolutely mind-boggling...with a war going on, a struggling economy, and rising oil prices, you think they'd have enough real issues to cover without resorting to this one-sided, inaccurate, ratings-boostings fluff. Again, i gotta bring up the Ryan Haigh Act, which was introduced on the 20th. According to CSPAN.com (during troubling times like these, i'd seriously recommend you bookmark cspan.), the legislation has been sent to a subcommittee for review, thank God, but I have a feeling it will be back to the senate for a vote soon and may become a feel-good, look-good bill for an election year. Please, everyone, email your representatives about the current need for OPs. It may not work, but we should all do something. Have a nice day everyone.
