Mio-Relax
      #161210 - 05/11/04 10:50 AM

Can someone let me know what Mio-Relax (Soma) does to someone? I am just curious how it makes you feel. Is it like taking a valium? I tried looking it up online but can't find too much info. I know it's a muscle relaxer but I've never tried them before. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey there,
Now this is just how it effects ME. It relaxeds me, mind and body, but doesn't go to my head like valium does. I have found it effective for muscle tention/spasms and great for sleep but it does tend to give me a sleepy hangover in the morning.

Hope this helps!

two 350mg has the same effect as 3 beers - but I dont drink; i FIND THE VALIUM OR xANAX ARE LESS SEDATING.

But everyone is different - Hydro keeps me awake. Ritilan dexamp keeps me calm.

Soma really doesnt do much for me, Soma compound (with tylenol I think) helps a little for mild back pain but nothing for spasms. I dont even get drowsy from Soma. And Rocky Im the same with hydro it makes me sweaty and speedy feeling and others it puts to sleep. For back pain and spasms I prefer Flexeril and a couple advil and I get more relief. Flexeril does make me slightly drowsy.

For me MioRelax soma can be really Iffy. I had a good batch from Libsol when they were around, but my second batch from Destiny was good some times, and almost placebolike other times. It seemed like the product wasnt mixed well enough.

Anywho, soma relaxes me into an almost coma like state, so I wont take it midday, only before I go to bed. If I take it midday and do my normal walking routine... I wake up the next day with such muscle soreness

Course this is just how soma works with me. Then again oxys make me vomit and so the strongest painkiller I can take is a darvon.

Thanks for all the feedback. I've been having muscle spasms lately and read about Soma and was curious how it would make me feel. I read a lot about it on the boards here so I thought I'd ask a few questions about it. I hear that people get pretty spaced out on the stuff... makes them feel really good and relaxed but spaced out. I don't want to take anything that's going to make me too relaxed that I can't function properly.
Does anyone know what types of muscle relaxers are the best? Thanks!

China,

I guess sometimes it really is different strokes for different folks! The only thing that I take Soma for is muscle soreness when I have done too much walking, which is usually when I'm on vacation.

Too funny!

I take soma with my hydro. It make's me sleepy, but does take away most of the muscle spasms. If i just take the soma, they don't work as well. To me, soma by itself doesn't really do any good. I need to take some kind of pain medicine with it. But, that's just me. Take care.

Soma can make you feel like you had a few beers but unlike valium and xanax which hang on for 12 to 24 hours and leave you with a hangover, soma's effects go away in about 4-6 hours and leave no hangover. Flexeril has a hughe drowsy effect and hangs around for a day (yuch)
