Does anyone have any info on where I can go to order this medication? I have looked into Canada pharmacies and they do not have it and in some of the US OP's and i do not see it on their website. Any info would be great!!

If the XL is the extended release version, It's only marketed and sold here in the US. I did some checking for my mother in law when I found out the price she was paying for her Glucophage XR. WOW!
Probably another money making scheme by the US manufacturers.

it is very pricey and my mom is whom i am looking for it for and she can only take the brand and i dont know what she is going to do because it is so high

Some of the IOP's carry it under the name Metformin and very inexpensive compared to the US prices but again, it's not the extended release like she needs. Between her diabetes medicine,breast cancer medicine, colesterol meds, and high blood pressure meds,her pharmacy bill is close to 900.00 a month. I don't know what they expect people,especially seniors to do. We did get her in with some programs that gave her some meds for free but that was only for about 6 months.

I checked them out for her and she needs 120 glucophage XR a month. With the added shipping cost, there really isn't a savings. She pays 92 a month for them here now. IOP's and Canadian pharmacies are about a third of that cost but none carry XR and her doc won't change her script. Now I know why people are fighting for the right to buy medications from Canada and overseas.

You could try Globalchemists generic, its listed as SR (ie slow realease) which is the same as XR. 500mg 100 tabs $25.

Does anyone in Canada sell it?? I am looing for the brand XL only my mother can not take the generic at all it doesnt work for her and her doctor is against the generic. For 30 pills it is going to cost her here 40.00 and she can not afford that every month along with all my fathers heart meds and all that. thanks for all the help and answers that are given!!!!!
