Looking for ...

A free spyware program, if there are any honest ones out there. I am not really computer literate so I am asking for some help here. My hubby has order Norton through school and we are waiting on that to arrive but my understanding is it does not have spyware on it. It also doesn't have to be free( but would be nice )
I am so sick of all the pop ups which I finally blockd through Netscape as I dislike IE.I have so many issues when it comes to IE that it is not good for my health to use it hehe.
Thank you in advance as I know there are some coomputer techs out there who can help me.

I use Lavasoft Ad Aware 6.0

I run it about once a month and it finds spyware everytime.

Gotta stop visiting "those" websites. Heh.

yup, It's a good one. But you don't necessarily have to get sypware from "those web sites" (after all, none of us do that, right?). Spyware is often bundled into otherwise legit free software. A good example is "Free Solitaire", a very popular free product. Clear you system with Ad Aware, download Free Solitaire, and run Ad Aware again. You'll find spyware on your system.
