I know I'm probably spelling this drug wrong, but I told my doctor that I was having an increasingly hard time waking up in the morning. We discussed a few things I could try over the next few months, and then he said if nothing works, he'll prescribe Peregan (sp) and it will give me a little boost in the morning.
I'm sure I've butchered the spelling, but does anybody know what this stuff is? That's the best way I could spell it going by how he pronounced it. The 'g' is a soft g. It sounded like Per-uh-gin.
Could you have heard what the doc said a little bit wrong and perhaps he said PROVIGIL??? This medication is used to treat narcolepsy, which would make sense. I've never heard of "Peregan" or anything that sounds like that. Let me know when you find out - I'm a nurse and you've peaked my curiosity.
That's possible. He did mention that it is sometimes used to treat narcolepsy. OK, I'll go look it up on rxlist now. I was just wondering how it would react with what I'm currently taking.
I don't go back for two months, and even then I don't know if I'll find out what it is, because I'm not sure if he's going to prescribe it, or if I even want it, but I'll let you know.
