Hello everyone. I was prescribed Norco and tried to look up information on this drug and all I got was hydrocodone. Are there different types of hydrocodone or what? What effects does this pain medicine have and is it any good?

Hydrocodone is the generic name of the med. Norco, Lortab and several others are the brand name. It's all the same thing though, Hydrocodone.

Tone, I thought you were freaking out because your stepfather was getting out of prison. Norco will not help what so ever with that situation. Yes, there is only one type of hydrocodone, it is administered with various amounts of APAP and hydro. However, this med is not used for anxiety as you first post desperatly asked for relief of. Good Luck!

You mean my biological dad I was freaking out over thats getting out of prison soon. No Norco 10 was one of the med I got for my back pain and my abcess tooth I got til I go to the dentist which can not afford until income tax comes in.I got Xanax 2mg for my nerves as I had to have something immediately. I feel so much less stress/anxiety now. Thanks for NWW. I fax my med records this Thursday. I am very satisfied with them.

Yeah Tone, they get us confused sometimes. I am female. I had to explain once already that I was not Tone. That is my nickname for Tonya at work by my fellow associates. Sorry for the mishap. I let them know its not you dont worry.
