Hi everyone... this may be a stupid question but was wondering if any of you know if there is any way to set up a way to pick up your packages at the UPS hub. I'd like to be able to just have my orders sent directly to the hub, without my orders going straight to my home. Anyone know what I would need to do to set that up? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Take care!
you can't. they won't let you until they have made atleast one unsuccessful delivery attempt. If its COD and you aren't there they'll send it back to the sender....I just called and asked 2 days ago. Fedex will do it though but you have to tell the sender to mark the package and give them fedex address.
I just put the FedEx hub address as the shipping address. I've tried telling them to mark it 'hold for pickup', but the shipper forgets. So, now I just use the hub address. I do have to show id when picking my package up though.

I always pick up my package from the UPS hub. No problems ever. I just put the UPS address as the shipping address. The only day you can't do that is on Saturday.
For UPS, get the exact address of the main UPS near you. Call them to get the correct one. If you look it up online, you'll see a lot of listings, but packages can only be held at a main hub. Give this address to the shipper and ask them to write 'Hold at Hub for Pick-Up' on your package. Bring the tracking number and a picture ID with you to pick it up.
FedEx is the same - the shipper needs to write 'Hold at Hub for Pick Up' next to your name. Also make sure they put your phone # on it, not the hub phone #.
Both UPS and FedEx will call you to let you know when the package has arrived. You can usually pick it up as soon as the hub opens.
There are many advantages to this:
1. If you're not at home during the day, you won't miss your delivery.
2. A more discreet way to get your medication if this is an issue. Avoid nosy co-workers/roommates/spouse.
3. You can pick it up early in the morning (when the hub opens - most by 8AM) and just pay for standard overnight. You can avoid paying for priority overnight.
