Hydrocodone is the strongest pain medication available from OPs...the stronger meds (Percocet, Demerol, etc.) are Schedule II and not allowed to be legally prescribed over the internet.

swordfish,
Can you please make you-know-what a little more obvious? Thanks- this board doesn't have enough heat on it as it is.

Different people prefer different combinations although the Lortab (10/500) & Norco (10/325) seem to be the most popular among chronic pain patients here. The higher the amount of Tylenol, the more pain relief alot of people experience but the downside is that higher levels of Tylenol will destroy one's liver. The maximum daily dosage of Tylenol should not exceed 4000 mg, less if using the Tylenol on a long-term basis.
Many people also find Vicoprofen (7.5 hydro/200 ibuprofen) to feel stronger than the hydro/apap (Tylenol) combos but its more expensive even in generic form.
You should really just go with what you've been scripted before with success.

See a doctor if your pain is so severe that hydrocodone is not effective. He can prescribe something stronger. Ie oxycodone,morphine,hydromorphone,fentaynl..... wcs

I agree with everyone else. Lortab, Lorcet, and Norco are the strongest meds you are going to get online. And you will need your medical records. Mine were free and I had them within three days. If your pain is really that bad you will need to go to the ER or a pain specialist. Most peolpe get their meds online because they don't have insurance and things like that. And most have a long trail of medical records. So Good Luck!

hydrocodone is like baby asprin? geesh! You should go see a pain specialist. If you don't have insurance check into medicaid. If hydrocodone is like baby asprin maybe you need to be monitored on some heavy duty meds. Ask you primary doc to refer you to pain mangement clinic. good luck. karib

Lortab, Lorcet, and Norco are NOT the same med. All three meds are completely different strengths of hydrocodone/acetaminophen.

This thread should have ended at Mercedes116x's post.

I had a med suprise me. I have been on oxycodone/oxycontin for major pain. it has be corected and the pain level is droping. the suprise I had was when i swiched from oxycodone to 10mg/660 watson. I ahd much better pain relief than 15 mg oxycodone. I wished i had swithced earlire. I guess reacting to medication is based on the persons matablizum. Ie liver process differant chemicals better then others..

There is a misconception on this board that if you disagree with someone, it's a flame.
A flame is when you specifically attack someone's post for no other reason than you don't like them, and you stray off topic in doing so while attacking it personally. THAT's what a flame is- people are allowed to disagree, it makes this wonderful world go 'round.
Go on USENET if you want to see a real flamewar.

Was the oxycodone in combination with APAP, aspirin, or alone? I prefer Lortab (10/500) over oxycodone/apap 10/325...I need the higher APAP to "boost" the hydro or oxy.

I've used those vicoprofins before and they are genteler (sp?) on the stomach but don't seem as strong as vicodin 7.5's. maybe its just me though.I usually have to take 2 7.5's at a time though, any more than that and I get a tummy ache.

Ditto on yawkaw's post.
I don't know how many times people have gotten on my case just because I did not share their opinion or provided an opinion that wasn't what the poster was seeking.
This is, after all, a board for discussion. Discussion would be pretty lame if we all had the same ideas, experiences or opinions.

As an adjunct to lovepink's post...
I regularly use ibuprofen or acetaminophen concurrently with my methadone (obtained through my pain specialist, by the way) to help control my pain. I get substantially more relief when using NSAIDs and/or APAP in conjunction with my narcotic. The benefit to my situation, of course, is that I control excatly how much of each drug I take.
And I also agree with many of the above posters that pain that is not treated well with hydrocodone will require an in-person doctor's visit and a prescription for something "stronger" to be filled locally. Good luck finding adequate pain control.
