dopes anyone have this condition and if so what are the symptoms? for over a week i wake up vomiting and i literally can not eat or keep much fluids dowm. i have been taking zantac, but its not helping much. all there is in my stomache is bile and i am feeling very weak. i do have alot of stress right now but its never been this bad. any advice on foods to avoid or to ease the pain would be greatly appreciated. 7up seems to be my best friend right now.
My symptoms with my acid reflux was a burning in the chest wall area and my right shoulder. I would feel nauseated at times but I never vomited. I was put on Nexium and let me tell you Nexium has been a miracle drug for me. I have not had any more burning since being placed on Nexium. Your symptoms sound like a very concerning gastrointestinal problem. My advise to you would get to the doctor immediately, as it could be just a virus, (you did not say how long this has been going on), or something much more serious. Please see your doctor soon.
I work for an internist and most people that have reflux problems complain of symptoms like chest pain, in fact a lot of them think they are having cardiac issues, but it ends up being GERD. I've never heard of vomiting as a complaint, so I'm thinking that you have something else going on. My advice is to drink as many fluids as you can keep down to stay hydrated and see your doctor asap.
that's how my first ulcers were diagnosed. When I was hospitalized with uncontrolled vomitting and dehydration. Definately check it out. I knew something was wrong for a long time, but tried to go on and hope it would just get better. Until one day......my stomach had had enough and let me know in a most stressful way! My BP also shot up too, with all the vomitting. Go for a scope!
