I THINK you are asking is it possible that a person can still experience side effects from the same drug (same active ingredient in Norco and Lortab) even after a period of time passes...YES, you can.
Without knowing the specific hydrocodone doses prescribed previously and now, I would still feel completely comfortable stating that is possible and even likely that a person can/will continue to experience side effects (although these usually lessen or go away during treatment) from hydrocodone--in any dose. The most common side effects are constipation, headache, insomnia or drowsiness, itching, urinary retention, nausea or even vomiting. Most of these do go away eventually, but constipation almost always remains a problem for anyone using this medication.
The types of side effects and severity are dependent upon the individual and the dose taken and for how long the person has been using the medication. It's different for everyone.
I hope this answers your question.

nightshade-
thanks so much for your input...i thought it was completely impossible for me to have the side effects of a med that i had been taking now for a long time...i knew there wasn't a difference in the 10/500, and 10/325 as far as hydro potency goes, and i switched because someone told me that of a dosage of acet. would give me less stomach upset...so i didn't expect to feel any side effects, but i guess this goes to show that switching meds, no matter how similar can produce side effects, every side effect you listed is exactly what i've been experiencing, so i guess i will give my body time to get used to the effects...thanks again!

I know it seems odd that you are suddenly experiencing side effects even though you are still actually taking the same amount of the hydrocodone, but you aren't alone by any means.
I recently switched from two 5mg tablets of methadone to one 10mg tablet every 8 hours and I get almost double the side effects using the single 10mg tablet (both were made by the same manufacturer.)
I think it could be any number of reasons why this is so, and in your case it could simply be the lesser amount of acetaminophen to be digested...It could just be ANYTHING.

I can have terrible vomiting induced headaches while taking hydro. They just come from nowhere, although not that often. But when they do, it is horrible, horrible.

samcali i have had this happen take some aspirin and when i got near my cold turkey and had a few left its like i went into withdrwal and still had pills. you are getting nervous and making yourself overriddled with anxiety. i know from your posts you have about 10 pills left and you are freaking just exactly like i did. you will be fine. you have more meds than most people to help with the withdrawls.
