Hi y'all!  This is probably a dumb question, but can you guys tell me how to use Western Union to pay for a IOP order? I have an order in with Farmakos but haven't the foggiest idea how to direct the payment if I were to go to a WU office & wire the cash. Thanks for any help you can give.

easy peasy japoneasy....
Take Dr.As info to WU, his name, and country will do. You can use a AKA (for yourself I would) then email him with the AKA, but with the correct address for shipping and your real name. DR.A cannot pick up the cash with just the WU#, he also needs the name that you gave WU. Of course you got to figure out how much $$$ to transfer, simple enough if you have his most recent email med list.

Since when does he need the name you gave WU? I always give WU an AKA and I give the DR. my real name and address. I e-mailed him info on the 25th of Feb. and he picked up transfer on the 26th of Feb. I still have not received so I'm assuming customs??

Well he may not need AKA for WU, I always used MG and he needed the MG# and the AKA. Maybe WU in AR is more layed back then MG, maybe insight as to why he says no more MG.
On 2 occasions Ive had customs sit on his parcel(s) for about 30 days, my sister had one seiz with farm b4 he swithed to smaller envelopes.

I was wondering if they sent them to you after the 30 days because I have one with that has been in customs for exactly 30 days as well. On the tracking site it says "Your item is being processed by US customs. No further information is available at this time." I have not recieved any notification of seizure. Is it common for them to hold an item for this amount of time? Has it happened to anyone else and they have still received it? Just wondering what the chances are?
By the way, I have contacted the IOP and they have since reshipped.

Hi all, a bit new here. I wouldn't worry about an
aka when wiring money. Most businesses that carry a lot of cash. (particularly WU) have hidden videocams going at all times. Just order online, and follow up with WU's mandatory
phone call. They don't care where or from whom you order,
they just want our $$. To write an aka can cause you more
trouble and if discovered, LE might investigate thinking
you are dealing your meds. Just do it the way the say (I have
for years), and keep a low profile.

I thought WU was refusing oline payments to Dr.A, not to mention that WU knows he sells controlled meds, and Im sure LE does to.
They can have me on video, thats on thing. Its an entirely diffrent thing to just give them your address and name. Untill WU and MG start insisting on ID, Id rather be an AKA.

I took the plunge last night & wired my $$ to Dr A. As I have seen yawkaw remark, I felt kind of creepy wiring money to another country.
I used an AKA and yes, I am sure they had surveillance cameras where I was, but how do the MIB's match up my moneygram with the vdeotape of me sending it? I also gave that AKA to Dr A in my follow up email so he doesn't send my order to the wrong address.
I thought the fee for wiring money was outrageously high. It seems like there are so few reliable IOP's out there that take cc's that I have to go to this hassle. If AM ever comes back, I'll be glad, but I'll bet their prices will be even higher than before. 
Now I am keeping my fingers crossed that Farmakos delivers. As always, wishing a pain & anxiety free day to all my fellow DBers.
