I am just wondering if anyone out there knows the half-life of soma? My doctor and I are trying to figure out the best pain regimen for me and I want to make sure one med is out of my system before I try another. Just curious. I wasn't sure where to find this information.
www.rxlist.com drug monographs usually give the half life of a drug, rxlist has all the drug monographs. just look it up

Half life is the time it takes for half the drug to leave your system. if the half life is 5 hours, and you have "100 unit" in your system, then at hour 5 you have roughly 50, then hour 10 roughly 25, at hour 15 12.5 and so on
Soma (carisoprodol) is a skeletal muscle relaxant. It is centrally acting. It is mostly metabolized by the liver. It has a half-life of 8 hours. It is taken orally and has a onset of 30 minutes, its peak is unknown and it's duration is 4-6 hours. Normal dosage is 350mg 4 times daily. Hope this helps. I see other half-life's posted. This came directly from my nursing drug book, 2003 Davis's Drug guide for Nurse's, Eigth edition.
