DrugBuyers.Com: Generic Oxycontin??

Hi all,

I hope I am posting this in the right spot. I just got so excited when my husband pointed this article out to me that I quickly said, "oooh, I have to go and post this on DB". That just shows how much I love you guys, sniff sniff. I mean I have not even read the article yet, and yet I am giving the info to all of you. I am such a kind and giving person aren't I/ Ha ha, jus kidding, how pathetic am I?

Anyway, hope this link works. It is from the CNN Website under the Health Section. Since I have not read the article yet I am can't say when this is going to be approved, but what I CAN say is if and when this happens, a lot of my worries will pass as I just found out I have a relatively short period of time left with my insurance carrier.

Without insurance I will end up having to pay nearly $600-$700 a month for my oxycontin prescriptions. CRAZY!!! I am so lucky right now since i only have to pay $8.00 per prescription with my insurance, so as you can see I have been freaking out about losing my insurance. I hope this generic Oxy comes through soon.

Hey, I wonder if with this generic Oxy there will be some changes made to the chemical make-up of the pill, specifically to the time release function of the pill.

Ever since i first heard about Oxy (loooooong before i ever took it) I have heard members of the medical community discuss the prevelance of diffusing the time release part of the oxy, in the hopes it will deter people from abusing the drug by chewing it up, or breaking it in half, thus making that pill much stronger than intended, and of course Best if kept off the board!ng off the FDA, and God knows no one should mess with the ever powerful FDA! Hmmmm, who knows??
