Here are some monographs:

Generic:

Couldn't find a photo of the Geneva 2mg (G 3722) alprazolam, but that's what it is for sure.

That last picture of generics are the Geneva brand. 2mg Genevas say GG249, as in the picture.

The 2mg xanax bar being asked about with the "G3722 imprint" is made by Greenstone.
The 2mg xanax bar with the GG249 imprint that someone brought up is made by Sandoz, which was formerly called Geneva Pharmaceutical in the US.
Please see the pictures of these two pills in the following link with other Xanax pill pictures: (The Geneva bar is the second picture and you have to scroll about half way down the page to see the Sandoz (Geneva) bar).

FYI: here is a press release from Novartis describing the company's name change for its generic products from Novartis Generic or Geneva (depending upon the region of the world) to Sandoz.

Glad to be of help here - I saw some conflicting info about Geneva vs. Greenstone imprints, etc. The Eckerd's link I posted has most xanax generic and brand pictures for future reference.
To all: be careful with these 2mg bars - they are very potent and are scored in fourths for a reason! 2mg at a time is a very high dose unless you have a pretty high tolerance. I used to buy the 2mg bars since they were always cheaper this way and then made sure to cut them up into fourths with a sharp knife and put them back in the bottle so I wouldn't take 2mg at a time or try to break them by hand....I would usually get the 2mg to split in half, sometimes with more on one half or the other...but breaking into fourths by hand was pretty tricky for me and I ended up just taking more until I switched over and pre-cut them into fourths with a knife...
BTW, alot of people with panic disorder or anxiety conditions get by just fine with ONE 0.50mg dose three times a day (1.5 mg / day), or 3/4 of ONE of these bars per day. (Alot of docs cut it in half for lightweight women or thin men.... 0.25mg 3x per day (0.75mg per day). Test the low dose first if you are self-medicating because once you up the dose for a week or so you become used to it fast...
ok.... [/end preach]...

You're right about the tolerance issue. When I was on xanax It didn't take long to go from taking 1 mg 2x a day to 2 mg 2x a day to 2mg 3 x a day, yada yada yada until it was anywhere between 10-12 2mg bars a day. It took forever to taper down & switch over, which was a nightmare in itself, but now i'm stabalized and 2mg Klonipin 3x daily + 1 2mg at bedtime works great for what ails me. This is coming from someone who has been prescribed / dealing with the ins-and-outs of benzos for over a decade so I know how bad tolerance can get. The problem with benzos is that they themselves seem to cover your mind from noticing what a problem you're heading into. At worst. about a decade ago, I can vividly remember (if that's possible while on high doses of xanax) tossing 8-10 2mg bars in my mouth & chasing it down with Grey Goose & cranberry juice and then going about my day as usual as a stay-at-home writer.
Be careful folks, they ain't gonna jump up an bite you if you take them as prescribed and don't get 'creative', but they can slowly creep up on you and *wham* suddenly you've been blindsided like you've never experiened in your life.

i am personally on klonopin and that works fine. i came across a xanax bar which someone had asked me to find out what it was. xanax would be last choice after reading nighmare posts on xanax i asked my pcp to switch over from xanax. i remember xanax being hailed as the new valium, i have had issues in the far past with bezos which make hydro withdrawl look like a cakewalk, at least for me that was my experience. i respect benzos becuz the nighmare of addiction on those you will never forget.
thanks for all your wisdom on this subject
