Different Tussionex??
      #148437 - 03/17/04 08:35 PM

I have had Tussionex before and it's always been really "smooth" in form. But today I got some more and it's Tussionex "sustained" and it's rather almost "grainy". Is this normal? Is there a difference between the two?

Thanks!

There's only one Tussionex. You're supposed to shake it.

Maybe you didn't shake it the first time so it was smooth, but this time you did and it was grainy?

I haven't seen tussionex anywhere. I could use it for my bronchiatis.

I've recently had Tussionex and it developed sediment in it due to my refrigerator freezing everything in inside it.

After the freeze and thaw, the cough syrup was very "grainy" with sediment. Is it possible there was a substantial temperature change with yours?

By the way, I did NOT use it after the thaw. It just looked too disgusting, so I dumped it down the sink.

Oh wow ... that's a terrrible loss.

The last time I used Tuss it was yellow, very sweet and grainy. Made me want to chew it when I swallowed. I understand that all Tuss is geared to work over a 12 hour period and has always been that way. Has something changed?

When searching for the med there is only one kind that shows up. Left me believing there is still only one kind.

I assure you, there is only one Tussionex. It tastes kinda like a Pina Colada. It's a gritty, somewhat sweet, thick cough syrup. Important to remember to shake it, possibly the grit settled to the bottom and that's why it was smooth?

TDI and CMC are two pharmacies I know that carry it.
