Just to let some of you who may be taking pre employment drug tests, I just took one and had Hydro and xanax I had taken that morning. I was worried because I was sure I would fail but I passed! I drank lots of water and peed 3 times and took a B vitamin to make it yellow and took the test. So, I'm assuming they only check for opiates, pot, speed, PCP and cocaine, not for opoids as I had thought previously. Maybe I got lucky but I have taken several in the past few years and passed them all. FYI for those interestes. Zoey

IMO you did just get lucky. I have tested positive on the standard test for opiates from hydro more than once..someone else from a board didn't believe me that this was a standard test...and then he also failed his test, so be careful all, hydro will give a postive opiate result on a standard test

What B vitamin gives the yellow color? When did you take it? That morning or right before the test? Thanks!

Your basic multi vitamin will make your urine yellow, but if you just want to take just a b-vitamin I believe b-12 is the one.

For what it's worth
if you get nailed don't blame me
i'm subject to random Dept of transportation
testing due to my job
(thats EMIT with GC/MS)
I've been tested twice in the last 6 months
once random once post accident
(no i don't take hydro on the job but i do
when i get home)
anyway both times clean for opiates
(and everything else)

i also have to take the D.O.T. test atleast yearly. once i wrote on the paperwork i was taking hydro and they would not approve my results. i had to give them script #, pharmacy, dr's. name etc... i dont know if they check the info or not. the next time i did not write it down and nothing happened. so dont admit to it unless they ask for you for reason why youre positive result shows up. most tests are only nonprescription drugs, coke, pot, etc....

For those of you out there who are on methadone for pain control, almost NOBODY tests for methadone. It DOES NOT show up in an opioid test. This includes pre-employment testing done by airlines and the federal government.
It's one of those drugs that they have to have some reason to test specifically for it.
Just an FYI and heads up.

I wanted to add that I applied to work part time at Bass Pro shop..a RETAIL store and they did the FULL 10 panel test which includes these drugs:
Amphetamines Barbiturates Benzodiazepines Marijuana (THC) Cocaine Methadone Methamphetamine Opiates Phencyclidine and Tricyclic Antidepressants.
Kinda seems like OVERKILL to sell fishing equipment eh?
So if the paper u get says the 10 panel test be careful.
