I read on a newsgroup that mastersmarketing and this Aussie pharmacy have been flagged by customs. Does that really happen?? And could this be why our siezures have gone up recently? Does anyone know?

i've seen a list, i think it's from the FDA, that allows Customs to seize and search any package that comes in with a return addy from Masters Marketing, no holds barred (check the archives for the thread). however, i believe MM has a 100% delivery rate. i've never lost an order and i've yet to read of anyone else who has. go figure?! i've found that the more blatant the customs declaration, the more likely it is to be delivered intact. i freaked the first time i saw "OTC medicines" declared and a return address that included "online pharmacy" BUT every package like that got/gets through. the ones that said "merchandise" or "gift" and no declared value, got nailed! SO honesty's the best policy, at least as far as customs is concerned.

oh yeah, the big "ID Recorded" sticker is from the aussie end of the process. it means that the ID of the sender was verified. you'd think that would have some credibility with US customs. guess not. don't worry about that one, just fear the green.

Just as a small warning for folks looking at low dose Codeine products from either Australia or New Zealand. Both are currently under the Custom's spotlight with seizure rates around the 95% mark. I would not recommend ordering from these two countries until the spotlight moves to some place else. Almost everyone I know, myself included, have had our orders seized by Customs, (especially the N+'s), usually complete with love letters. Best to look elsewhere for the time being.
Not even my Australian based sister can send low dose Codeine to me without all but giving a sample of her DNA to the post office. (Customs even checks to see what kind of candy she is sending me!! Haven't gotten a package from her all year that hasn't been opened by Customs.) Never was a problem in the past, (like the last 6 years), but they have become quite the sticklers over the past few months. Better for all of us if we look elsewhere until the Custom's spotlight moves once again.
Seems they target one or two countries at a time, seize everything coming from those countries and eventually move on to some other country. It just happens to be Australia and New Zealands turn to be under the spotlight. When that spotlight will move is anyone's guess, but hopefully it will be soon.

thanks for the info. wow, you have a sister in australia and even she can't sent stuff unscathed - i seriously think that this whole "homeland Security" thing has gotten waaaay out of hand? shouldn't our government be making allies right now instead of p!ss!ng people off? i guess i'll lay off any source from NZ or australia for the foreseeable future. WAH! perhaps you can be our barometer of customs scrutiny from that part of the world.

Will do my best to keep track of that for us. For the moment, everything my sister sends me, be it candy, calendars, bath salts or whatever else arrives here covered in green tape from Customs. All quite innocent stuff, really....but with Australia and New Zealand being under the current spotlight, getting med orders have a better than 95% chance of being opened by Customs and anything even vaguely out of the ordinary is being seized. That included some OTC cough medicine, easily available here in the US as an OTC, (just cheaper to get back home), and it was still removed from the 'care' package my sister sent to me. (And what was wrong with my Tim Tam cookies she sent me??) Wonder what they will think about the mosquito coils I ordered from home to deal with all the mosquitos I am currently dealing with here.

i am entirely stumped! what are the chances of something like N+ ever being over-the-counter in the US? I don't find it the least bit irresponsible that other countries trust their citizens with a medicine like that, we are, after all, able to read simple directions. we're allowed, no encouraged, to kill ourselves with tobacco, alcohol and crappy food. i thought we were the land of the free, free to make decisions for ourselves. i bet most people don't have the slightest idea that a med with 12 mg of cod is OTC in other countries and treated like crack here, but i'm sure they'd be pleased if they could pick it up at the local grocery (along with their beer). sorry, i'm still smarting over my recent lose. call me a bad sport i guess.
ya know, that sweet, cream filling in your tim tams could easily be a plastic explosive. you can't be too sure! you should thank those brave, hungry customs agents for saving you from, perhaps, an unfortunate cookie incident.
