i have a good friend who needs to take
this or he gets moody and nasty,
(anti-depressant i presume!)
but unfortunately its so expensive from
his pharmacy (5$ a pill!) for the 37.5 mg.
that he doesnt take it as much as he should.
obviously he has a script,
so does anybody know of a cheap/reliable source?
(IOP or regular us OP)
any help would be GREATLY appreciated..
i hate to see him like this

Make sure it is the XR (extended release version). The regular requires you to take 3 times per day. The xr is once a day dosing.

If taken according to prescription, it can be an absolute MIRACLE drug. That medicine practically saved my LIFE.

A GREAT SOURCE is www.stop-depression.com

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Have you tried the costco, if there's one near you? I had to get my Effexor SR 225mg. for a while till I got it free from the company. That website is: www.needymeds.com The forms should be there to get it free if buying it puts you in a financial bind. They all have different requirements though. Good luck!

Yes, effexor is a great drug. It works on 3 neurotransmitters instesd of just serotonin.
One caveat though, if your friend decides to discontinue it, he needs to taper it down or strap himself in and prepare for quite a ride.......

I've been on Effexor XR for over 5 years and was at 450mg for 3 out of those 5 years. It's taken me 8 months to come down to 262mg as I have decreased in 37.5 intervals every 1-2 months. This drug has helped a lot of people, but is also one of the hardest to get off of.

well he just told me he doesnt have
a script though i imagine it wouldnt be
too hard for him to get one,
it seems like all the places in the us
want 5 bucks a pill regardless, so preferably an IOP
and one that has been used please....
