I may be really blonde here, but what does 'gral' mean. It's here and in the international area too. am I missing something??

"Gral" is a really strange way to say "general"......it confused me too. I would have gone with "gen." myself.

And here I though it was some code word, which I was too embarrassed to ask about.

ha. ha. Well, to me Gen. seems like a better abbreviation (look, the blonde can spell all on her own, lol) for general.
editted to add: wow, just looked and it says 'general' now. wow.

Well thank goodness I wasn't the only one wondering - I even tried putting a "q" in there intstead of the "g" and STILL wasn't getting it. I'm happy to report that all is going to work out in the end because on Wednesday I bought some blond highlighting stuff the by the end of this weekend after I get the chance to use it I'll at least look the part.
To tell ya the honest truth is that I actually work not only in education but in a library - uh DUH....

Well, I'm a brunette and still haven't figured out what LOL stands for. I've asked before but never got a response.

Count me in as not knowing what gral was either. Also, there was a thread a week or so ago about abbreviations and someone posted a link to a list of a lot of online abbreviations, I just can't remember what the thread was titled. It was good though, I actually printed it out for future reference and by the way gral wasn't in it but here it is again for anyone interested: http://www.scrapgoods.com/abbreviations.html Curious

gral = general. It has been changed by DB in all of the major categories, most likely due to complaints from members like me and many, many other DBer's.
