Does anyone have any knowledge about blood plasma half life and urine detection of meds?
From the research I have done today, plasma half life is definitely longer but I would think urine detection would be shorter. Am I wrong? Anyone know?
I asked an almost-doctor friend of mine today (grad med school in may) and he is knowledgeable about plasma half life but said he would have to refer me to a PhD Pharmacologist to answer the urine detection question.
I just want to understand!

Aim for the moon, for if you miss you will always land amongst the stars ...
But I think you misunderstand. The half-life is the half-life, it has nothing to do with urine. You may really be asking "how much longer are drugs detectable in a blood test vs urine test?"
The answer is, it depends on the test, how much and for how long you have been using a specific substance. Benzos are usually in your system for much longer than opioids. THC is detectable for up to 30 days (perhaps longer)...what drug specifically are you asking about?
