Mypaysystems stops processing for pharmacies?
      #143089 - 03/01/04 03:33 AM

I've seen this posted at one site, and now at pharmatico:

Quote:

We are experiencing a disruption in our credit card processing. We will attend to this problem immediately, and urge our customers to choose alternate payment methods for the time beeing. The disruption is due to new rules that have been enforced by VISA and MASTERCARD that does not affect only us, but ALL online pharmaceutical providers. We have been in contact with our processor, and have been told that over 300 pharmaceutical website accounts (!) were closed over the weekend alone.

*From what I am seeing, it isn't all of them.

It looks like it may be Pharm88 also. If I'm remembering correctly I've ordered through them each time via mypaysystems. Their site is down due to cc problems...

Any word on when the situation will be corrected?

go to "mypaysystems" web site. In their terms of agreement, it has always stated that they will not work with pharmacies(something like that), and that they dont and will not process funds for illegal opperations.

I believe the ropes are begining to tighten.

This is what is at www.Pharm88.com...

To our Valued Customers, We are currently reviewing our payment system and are unable to take new orders at this time.

Unless you receive notification to the contrary, all orders thus far will be served. >>

This is to bad, I really liked this place. I guess we will just have to wait & see how long it will take to get all this worked out. Sad sad

Does that mean they wont process refunds on orders not recieved? I started the process a couple of days ago and it was going through the different steps. Then today when I checked the status of the refund request it said there had been no refund request made. This was for a fairly large order I never received from Click. Even Click advised to do a chargeback with mypaysystems. Should I now do a chargeback through my CC since mypaysystems doesnt seem to be going anywhere?

I'd start the refund process again with mypaysystems. Re-enter all the info and see what happens. Or try and contact them. If no luck, then I'd contact your cc company.

I'm also waiting on a refund to go through them. It shows and still stays it's 'processing'. But it's past the 48 hours. Then a while ago I received an email saying:

Quote:

The merchant responded Feb 28, 2004 refund will be processed in accordance with the terms and conditions of our site as posted on the site and will be made through either PAY PAL or www.moneybooker.com. Will receive a refund through PAY PAL of $xx.xx per refund procedures clearly stated on our website.

But the amount they showed is $20 less than what I had paid. I emailed them asking about that and showed them the correct amount. I sure hope there is no stupid $20 fee for a refund.

$20 sounds like alot, but it could be the exchange rate.

You know, I just had my Visa Card call me about "pending charges" on my account that I needed to call customer service to talk with them. I ordered from Medicine Gallery on friday, So I am wondering if that is it, I saw the previous post on Visa/Mastercard ...
Anyone else dealing with this?
