Just read a thread going on the VIP board - seems as if Fed Ex Meds is the latest on the list......check out their website. They are down until further notice. I'm really afraid this is going to happen all of these OP's eventually. Hope not...............

Nahhhh, let's be optimistic here.... I mean, look what happened with Woody's and now they are back in full operation again after having to go through trials and tribulations....
I know this is different, this is an 'OP Problem' and not a Pharmacy problem - but look at it this way - they state they ARE still filling refills - so we know that 1) it is not a doctor issue (or the Rx's would be invalid) and 2) it is not a pharmacy issue (or the refills would be unable to be filled) - so that leaves only option 3) which is that the OP is probably just behind on some paperwork, regulations, some kind of bump in the road. I have seen this happen to several OP's in the past, and they get over the hump and come right back on track. FxMeds is a stand-up OP that operates within current law - so I have a good feeling they will fix whatever the problem is (probably loads of paperwork to catch up on, conforming to regulations, having all I's dotted and T's crossed, etc) , and they will probably be back in no time at all.
Yes I am trying to be an optimist because I have used them in the past and hope to use them again in the future. But - if you read the message a couple times - it actually doesn't sound too bad - especially considering they ARE fulfilling outstanding refills. If they had been 'shut down' this would most likely not be the case. I have a feeling they were just behind on some things and need to get caught up. THINK POSITIVE THOUGHTS!

I think we all need to be as optimistic as possible about domestic OP's right now... They NEED our positive vibes. Why? Because - well, if we give in to pessimism, and think 'it's all crashing down' - that makes it appear that we feel these OP's are somehow doing something wrong.
I can only speak for myself, but I have used FxMeds in the past - and they were very 'within regulations' - (very extensive application, records required, thorough consult, etc) - I personally do not feel that FxMeds or any other domestic OP's that require records and consultations are doing anything wrong.
Therefore I am *optimistic* that they will survive, whether it will involve major changes, video-conferencing, porta-medic, whatever.. I am willing to stand behind this OP and other domestic OP's and say that I truly think they are doing nothing wrong. If we give in to the feeling of 'another one bites the dust' - it makes it appear that we are just going to sit back and let it come crashing down without a fight. I do not believe FxMeds was/is an OP that was operating outside the law, so I refuse to believe at this point that they will not be back. I know I am being overly-optimistic, but that's what we need right now!! We need to be optimistic, strong, and supportive, or they WILL take OP's away from us, and without a fight.

I sure hope you're right and I applaud your positive attitude as always! They are one of the best out there as was Midland Medical Clinic - I was just sure they were going to be back but it's not looking good.
I think everybody should start looking for a pain management doctor in their area - I just can't help but not be very optimistic about the OP industry right now.

Here's some positive news.
My gf uses them and had called United today for her refill. The United pharmacist said they were told by FedXMeds that the site will be down for "only 2-3 more days to make some repairs to the site."
Who knows if they told United the full story or not about why they are down, but I think it would be very stupid if they lied about the estimated duration of the outage to United. Anyway, take this info. with a grain of salt since it's second hand and not directly from FedXMeds. My gf really likes them and they seem to come through for her pretty consistently. If they stay down though she's going to go to NWW with me...I'd sort of hate this to happen though since it's risky to have both of us at the same place if that site goes down....

Wow, I do not even use OP's anymore and I was so worried for all of you. Because when I did use them I was only using FedEx and they were pretty good. Plus, I thought i had read somewhere that they guy that started the place was a former or current (not sure) DrugBuyer member. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought that was what I had heard. I think if I am correct on that, then that makes for a much more compassionate company, you know??
Not to mention that they were really honest and the doctor was pretty strict. I asked for Soma with the hydro and because there were no recent mentions of the Soma in my records he declined my request. I was a bit irritated back then but upon further thought I was happy that he was so strict as that may keep them around for a long time. Yep strict may not sound good to many of you, but I think that will be the only way that any of these OP's will stay open, if the doctors can prove that they will only prescribe what the patient has medically proven to need.
Anyway, I am happy for all of you FedEx users.
