Does anyone have any info on what is the actual amount of Codeine in these tabs? I believe they come from Spain. The site where I purchased it says they are 50mg Codeine. They don't seem to be as strong as Tylenol #3. They are about three dollars a tab. Pharmagroup was the site I used but they didn't send me my last two shipments. Unfortunately I ordered too close together so as to have plenty while I was on vacation.

Ladysong,
They don't seem as strong because they are time release, and they have no APAP in them. If you chew one up, and take it with APAP,or aspirin, you will have something closer to a T4. And BTW, you are paying too much. They are closer to a dollar a pill at Biotran.

HELLO LADYSONG, I WOULD NOT USE PHARMAGROUP TO BUY PERDURETAS(PERDURETAS DE CODEINA =CODEINE PHOSPHATE 50MG/RETARD =TIME RELEASE/SOLD IN SPAIN ) THEY ARE MANY OTHER SITES LIKE BIOTRAN , GIGAPHARMA ,ETC... THAT SELL THIS MED. AND HAVE A BETTER TRACK RECORD (LESS UNRECEIVED ORDERS) REMEMBER TOO CHECK THE BOARDS ON THE INT. OP YOU USE BEFORE ORDERING! (BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY) GOOD LUCK, CHEESE/ JOHN

ladysong, the 30mg "white" tabs are "NOT" time release, the 50mg "brown speckled" tabs "ARE" time release.
I have found that the white ones seem to work better for me.
Hope this helps.
If you grind the brown ones it should help on defeating the time release, but ,I'm not going to recommend that to anyone. (although it worked for me).
I would in the future just purchase the white ones 30mg.

If you were to grind up a perduretas and toss it into
hot water, you would find that the varying colors molded
into the tab dissolve at different rates, as each color
represents a different amount of WAX that has been added
to the base powder.
You would probably also find that the green parts will be left
swirling around in the glass even after several heatings /
swirlings.
The best way to break down these tough parts is the old
fashioned way - with saliva - that has enzymes, etc., in it
that helps in breaking down the waxy parts.
Long story short - chew it up with the front of your teeth
really well, swirl around in your mouth (you get used to the
taste)and recirculate the leftover bits to the front of your
mouth for re-chewing.
Too much info? Well, that's what I've learned about P. Codeina,
hope it helps someone.
A bit of Tylenol really boosts the effect as well, IMO,
although not too much is needed.

Well now. I am indeed impressed with you guys. I have learned so much in the short time I have been logging in. I never had any idea about chewing the Perduretas. I received them with the instructions in Spanish and couldn't understand it so I have been taking them like my Tylenol 3 I used to get. That would make a difference. I have wondered, up til now, why, if they are supposedly stronger than the 30 mg codeine, do I not feel the difference. I can tell you one thing. Pharmagroup(missing two orders from them totalling over three hundred) and Big City Meds, from which I ordered on January 31st and they still aren't here are not getting any more of my money. I decided to try Vicodin from Big City as my Arthritis and Fibromyalgia have been worse for the past three months and they said I would get my order last week. What we people in need of relief must do to be able to get through the day. It is enough to make you scream! Hear me all the way from Italy?????? I am happy tonight because of the warm reception here and help I have received. Give yourselves a big old fashioned hug from me.
