im shopping around for my next OP. there can be a big difference in the cost. for example my first OP was ephy. the consult was only $45, but i only got #90 meds per refill and 2 refills. my current OP is ERmeds. consult was $120, but i receive #120 meds per refill and 2 refills. that is like getting a free refiil @ ephy, so i will save about $ 40 w/ ermeds. are there any OP's that give 3 or more refills per consult. that would save up to $120 per year. i wonder if there is a way to compare OP's by 4 catagories. it would also be helpful to have dr's and pharmacies names used by each OP.
1. consult price
2. # of meds given per month
3. # of refills per consult
4. price of meds
you can PM if you prefer.

Well NWW has the best customer service and that needs to be added to your list of important things because if something goes wrong you can count on them.
Consult is 120
Prescribe 120, plus 2 refills
Norco 10/325 90$
They are the best and the CEO Chris is on the boards all day so if you ever have a problem it will be resolved very quickley!

I have heard(but I have not USED them, so I DO NOT recommend them!) That 1st e meds (which I think is the new OP from ephy's old pharm) is cheap all around; the consult is $55 and I heard the meds were like $62 for #90 and regular shipping prices...so that's only around $150 for a consult and meds and shipping(I find that incredible, I just paid $132 for a REFILL of #90!!!)I might try them sometime for that price...I'd like some more feedback first though

it will be cheaper over time to use an OP that gives #120. i am using ermeds.com right now.
1. $120 consult
2. #120 watson 10/500 per refill
3. only 2 refills
4. #120 watson 10/500 $78, s/h 3 day ups $12, @ united, FL.
does anyone use an OP that gives 3 or more refills per consult?

I personally like and use YOD (your on line doctor). Although they had some issues with woody's because of the NC state regulators they are up and running again.
Woody's is in my opinion the best OP pharmacy in the country price wise. For 120 norco's you pay 88 dollars and 2 day shipping is only 15 dollars (UPS).
With YOD and a VIP discount you will pay 85 dollars for the consult (they recently included an additional 5 dollar price break).
They also give 3 REFILLS.
So overall if you include all of the above mentioned prices AND the 3 refills there is NO other OP that can match these prices.
They are DEFINITELY CHEAPER than anyone else and kathy and Libby at YOD will do anything they can to help you out.
Choose wisely when selecting your OP.
Good luck and don't forget to post your experience.

I've been really happy with NWW. The consult is $120. Vicodin ES #120 for $92, $25 for FedEx Priority Overnight, total price was $117. You get 2 refills. Chris the CEO is incredible. Takes care of all concerns, problems, issues. And he just lowered prices. You might not want to pay $120 for a consult, but as another poster mentioned, with the #120 per prescription, that's like an additional refill.

Hello Everyone,
I am new to this forum so I hope I do this right. In reference to the above topic, I just called today for my first OP consult ever. It is with UPR at www.university-md.com The consult is $90 and they do offer (5) refills. So at least that is six months with not having to pay the doctor fee again, which when factored in can really bump-up the price of your meds. They too give #120 count a month. Not exactly sure on the cost of the meds. but I have seen the price before and it was as good or better than other top-ranked OP's on the 10/325 (hydro.) which I prefer with less Tylenol. The customer service rep. I spoke to today was extremely nice. They do have a toll-free number listed on their web site if you need more information. Oh, they do require records from your doc. basically stating your diagnosis and that you have had a physical exam, etc.. If you need more info. please feel free to PM me. I will update the forum as I go thru the process with UPR as that may help someone else.

paintrain that sounds great, only one problem. says on their site that after the consult you will get no refills untill you get a form from them signed by your Dr., even after you have faxed them your current records to get the original consult and meds. makes no sense to me.

does www.university-md.com require new records or an exam or contacting your pcp after the consult before you receive refills?

It's been a while since I utilized this OP. My experience was that they do require a physical exam, (they provide their own form to be filled out by a local physician) before your first refill. After that, they will require this same form to be filled out on a yearly basis.
And, they do give five refills.
I hope this helps.

They do offer and honor the five refills, BUT, you must send in records AND get a physical evaluation form signed either by your doctor or by a walk in clinic or ER! The form is easy, simple and it can be faxed to you and faxed back to them which makes it very easy. Just get a doc at a clinic to fill it out for 45 dollars and fax it back. You'll get #120 ct. and five refills. They'll usually give you two months to get the form signed, so you can get refills 1 & 2 before you get it signed. That's what they did for me anyways, but that was some time ago. However, when i recently called they said the procedure was the same and the five refills was still on. CS is wonderful and they almost always answer on the first ring.
