My OP is Fed Ex Meds (they ship UPS- ironic ) and the pharmacy is United. Neither F.E.M. OR United did anything wrong here- in fact, they have both been excellent in showing their superior customer service in this case. My package went out on Friday. I had it shipped to the UPS hub because I wasn't going to be home on Saturday. I didn't even check the tracking number until Monday...and found that the package was delivered to someplace in MASS. (and I'm in California) Panicked, I contacted United, and they gave me a different tracking #. I checked it online, and it showed that the package was signed for at the dock by a UPS employee. Well, I just got back from there, and even after talking to the supervisor, they "have no idea" where my package is!! Arrrggghhhh!
The supervisor did call United to have them ship out another package, and I will get it tomorrow, but man...I'm glad I wasn't right on the edge out of meds waiting for this or this would have been a sad day in the neighborhood. The thing is- because the guy signed for it- he's responsible and he didn't cover his tracks very well. I was told he's a part timer. Have a feeling he's gonna be a no timer after this. Dummy.
What's up with all the stories with UPS theft lately? There is a lot of that going around. I hope that each and every one of you that has had the SLIGHTEST problem with damaged packaging and/or theft has called corporate and complained nonstop. If no one complains to corporate UPS, then this will keep happening. Maybe instead of cracking down on us CP patients, GW should open an internal investigation into UPS...
