Well, I have been tracking a parcel from Fedex, and saw a strange new note on their site. It's due in another few days, it's status on the Fedex site is now "Not due for delivery" next to where it is indicated that it has arrived in my town. American OP, legal, ordered before no problem, etc., but you never know...
Does this mean it is not due for delivery today (Saturday), as I did not pay extra for Saturday delivery ? Does it mean something far more sinister ?
Am I just totally paranoid, or what ? It's simply a new comment on the Fedex site that I have never seen before...
Just means you'll receive it probably Monday (or the # of days specified - 2 day, 3 day, whatever). It doesn't mean anything sinister. I had the same thing happen before - except I WAS expecting a Saturday delivery and it showed up on a Friday at their HUB. I could have gone to the HUB and picked it up but didn't and it was delivered on Saturday. Hope this helps ease your mind. Take Care...Scarlett
Exactly...there have been several times I ordered things online or through catalogues but didn't specify (or pay for) Saturday delivery. Each time the package has made it to my local hub by Saturday morning but as its not scheduled to be delivered until Monday, I too get the "Not Due for Delivery" message. FedEx (here) is very good about allowing me to personally pick my package up if I really need it on Saturday, especially if I mention that the package contains needed medication.
Well, that's a relief. I work nights, so of course driving down to pick it up was out of the question by the time I saw the note. Monday will work out fine for me anyway, and it IS a bit cheaper...
Yeah, I guess I'm just paranoid. Not that "they" AREN'T out to get us free market people..."they" being the overpriced pharmaceuticals lobby and their hired guns...
