I noticed that the Brnad Vicodin ES cost more than the generic Vicodin ES at Norco Worldwide. Is there a big quality difference? I have been taking Vicodins but I don't know if they are generic or brand.

I highly doubt there is any difference at all. a molecue is a molecue, a copound is a compound. there is no such thing as a higher or lower quality molecue. Hydrocodone is Hydrocodone, its a black and white thing, it either is. or isnt. the only quality difference could be if one has a lot less than what it says.. like if it has 4 mg instead of 5 mg, but all pharma labs measure the dose formed in pills to the micrograms so thats highly unlikely. the other only difference there could be is that its mis synthesized and its not hydrocodone at all, for a pharma lab, thats impossible.
it isnt like its a brand of shampoo that has a better mixture of chemicals then another brand, we are talking about a single compound, so no, how could there be a difference? its all in peoples minds. people also say that placebos and homeopathy work and this and that so dont worry hahahaha
another example of this would be dyphenhydramine, benedryl brand is expensive, when sold as a sleep aid called unisom its even more expensive! like 7 dollars for 28! i got 400 diphenhydramine for 3 dollars haha its all the same thing, a chemical compound is a chemical compound
also people have claimed that one Over the counter brand of med is better than the other, when they both come from the same factory and are put in different blister packs and have different lables haha

The only difference between brand and generic is the fillers; both have the same amounts of hydro or active ingredients; you are probably taking the generic now, most people do, my insurance makes me take the generic unless there isn't one...just look at it, does it say vicoden on it? If it doesn't,it's the generic. The only brand name drug I've ever used is percocet 7.5...it was real pretty, but it didn't work any different than the endocet...the only generic hydro I don't like is the mallies, they make me sick to my stomach...I heard that they use lactose in their filler and I am lactose intolerant, so that would explain that, and like I said, the only difference is the fillers.

Speaking of Percocet. They were the 1st painkillers I ever took because my friend gave me 1 that was prescrbed to her after she had a C-Section during childbirth. I LIKE them more than the Vicodn's and I only took one as compared to the Vicodin's where I take 2 or 3 of them before they kick in good. but I don't know any of the generic names or other names for Percocet. Do you know a good OP to buy them from without a Script? Does NWW have them under a different name? Oh and thanx for the advice about the Vicodins. This forum has to has the most wellinformed posters bar NONE. I'm a LUCKY Newbie.

its rare for OPs to do percocet because its schedule II whereas hydrocodone is schedule III. frankly all of them should be unscheduled and over the counter. the only thing that should be rescricted are antibiotics because the more they are used the more bacteria mutate.

Generic percocet is called oxycodone, I'm sure there are other names, endocet is one, but I don't know them all. My dentist gives me percocet but I always get the name brand or the endocet cause he prescribes the 7.5's and my pharmacies don't have a generic for those. The percocet 5's are useless to me. No, OP's don't prescribe percocet and there is nothing better that they will prescribe than hydro. If you can't have perc's there is nothing better than hydro at all, even if you are not talking about OP's. JMHO

yea hydrocodone is the closest to oxycodone (percs). the only difference is an OH in place of an H, single atom, thus the names 'HYDROcodone' and 'OXYcodone'. 'codone' for being a semi synthetic of codeine. its closest in all subjective effects including pain relief as well.
