It just means that the .com extension for that particular domain name has already been taken. Commercial sites can use .com, .biz, .net, and .tv - official government sites use .gov, educational institutions use .edu, and non-profits usually use .org
When I registered my various domain names, however, I had to go through a dozen names I had wanted to be able to get .com extensions as I feel it just appears to be more legit.
Personally, I stay away from all the .biz sites. I get a lot of spam from so called pharmacies with .biz endings. Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence on my part. To me, and it may just be me, .biz sites usually mean scammer.
Yep, you're right Lovepink (as usual). that's the only difference. Maybe scammers found the domain name they wanted easier with a .biz than a .com. But, that's the only difference. Plus, some can have .us at the end too. It's just not too widely known yet. Nothing to be afraid of though.
