I just read a post from another member saying that they were not very strong.

they quality is fine but inconsistent. some will "seem" stronger than others, even from the same "batch".

if that makes sense???

I don't know about the name brand Roche V's but the Generic Valium from Destiny is weaker then I have ever experienced. Its not even worth the $50 w/o S&H.

No wonder its so cheap. It takes me 3-4 to feel a darn thing.

BigJohn, why in the world would you encourage anyone to mix tranquilizers with beer? Come on, that sort of thing you should keep to yourself. Common sense. This could be potentially dangerous to someone else.

Valium is a weak tranquilizer as far as the Generic Destinys go. Trust me it took me 40mg to evne feel the real effects. There generics are so weak alcohol (a beer or two) is what makes it turn it seems.

I agree with lemongrass. Those kind of remarks will make it harder and harder for me to get the meds I need in the future. This site is not about getting "Best if kept off the board up", it is about helping others and yourself treat serious problems & conditions. I'm not going to try and play "mommie" and tell you not to drink, mix drugs, but I AM going to tell you as a "concerned member" please keep those kind of remarks to yourself. I think everyone would appreciate it. No hard feelings though.

Never do anything to jeapordize your health and let others do as they will. I appreciate the interaction on this topic. I think it is educational for us all. All of the open-minded that is. I always recommend caution to my good friends and that is what we are doing. We are advising each other as friends! No offense intended only kindred spirits.

Alcohol is only bad when mixed with certain meds. Make sure you know what you're doing. What works for you could end someone else's life. J~

Sometimes its better just to listen and smile to yourself.

Dumb question. But when an a IOP uses the term Valium is it the actual manufacture's patented brand name or used generically like kleenex for tissue? Who own's the Brand name Valium? Is it Roche or Upjohn?

This would help make a quality of content decision easier.

Thanks.

Roche owns the brand name Valium.

When an OP/IOP says "Valium," it could mean either the brand name or the generic. It's supposed to mean the brand, but it depends who is telling you.

Aspirin is one of the few drugs that fits into your Kleenex for tissue analogy, where the original manufacturer (Bayer) no longer has the rights to the name, anyone can sell acetylsalicyclic acid as Aspirin.

The generic name is diazepam. I just got some mano's and I think they are OK. Maybe a tad weaker than Canadian generics but close. I never pay for Roche. It is the exact same drug. Granted they may be dosed better than international generics but they are definitely not better than Canadian generics. Been doing these for a long time. Personally I don't find the Roche any better. Not worth double the $$ IMO.
