are non-commertial links that contain valid information about a medication or relevent to this board allowed to be shared in a post?

for example a link to a research paper on hydrocodone from a site that has little or no ads and is meant for information and does not sell anything.

I've never noted any exception taken to links provided to legitimate information sources of legal, informative, and relative resources.

Tone,

Quoting or citing articles from newspapers or scientific journals has been done as long as I've been on the board. It is important that the source of the information be provided so as not to infringe copyright law.
Am I missing an important point in your question, or are you just checking to be certain? For example, the majority of posts in the Media Forum are based on this use of outside information.
