When you have a consult with the doc can you request two meds? I would something for my pain and something for my stress(aniexty). It is possible to get both or is the too risky and asking for two much?
Thanks
BK
Good question. I was wondering this, too. And what if I already received my pain med, would I be charged another consult fee to get the second med? I've also asked in another thread if you can change pain medications (from a weaker one to a stronger one) with your next refill - has anyone had any luck with that?
I think if it's warranted, you should be able to get more than one medication, but not two meds for the same thing. If you did not request it on the consult, you'd have to have another consult. As far as changing to something stronger on a refill, there's no way that could be done. The doctor would have to order the stronger medication. If you can't wait until after your refills are done and you have another consult, you'd have to forfeit your refills and just pay for a new consult, let the doctor know you need a stronger dose. I'd appreciate hearing from people who have actual experience with ordering multiple medications. Thanks.
