MVW Saturday delivery question.
      #137229 - 02/14/04 09:04 AM

Has anyone recieved a Sat delivery from them? Lovie is supposed to have one coming today but since they us UPS I told her I don't think they will.

She said they asked her yesterday if she wanted sat delivery and that it was an extra 10 bucks. She said yes but when she called me they had already closed so she couldn't ask for certain if they were going to deliver today.

I suppose they could use Fedex for the Saturday bus and UPS foe the rest but it doesn't seem like them. She said she has been having trouble with them over the past two refills as well so, I thought I would post and see what was going on for everyone else.

Any help would be appreciated.

I had multiple problems with this outfit. They do deliver on Saturday and do charge an extra $10 above their already over inflated prices. However, it seems impossible to get anyone there to listen to your requests.

They ask if you want Saturday delivery and then "forget" to put the handy dandy "Saturday Delivery" sticker on the outside of the shipping envelope, so UPS does not comply. If they did, by some miracle, indicate the shipment was for Saturday it should be received before 12 noon.

Wish your friend the best ... my experience with MVW was aggravating to say the least. I left them after more than a year because of these issues.

MVW is also using fed ex now. I had quite the suprise when I was waiting for my last refill to come and fed ex showed up! Apparantly they are still using UPS too though, so it's hard to say who you should look for!

Lovies package came UPS today. Thanks for the help.

BTW, her total for 122 10/500 wat next day saturday $145.

She is happy and relieved. It has been more than two months since I used an op and when I did I used NWW. She went with MVW due to thier rep and the special offer they had going.

I have nothing but top praise for Mindy and the crew including Chris at NWW. Given that they now offer 120 for a realistic 4 per day qouta that some folks need, I see them as again a very special service that we are lucky to have.

Lovies experience with MVW has been great as well. She has said that her doctor there calls her once a month to check up on her. I know that OPs are swamped and as her doctor said "sometimes so busy that he will fall asleep in his office and wake up there to go straight to work two or three days in a row but to take the time to check in on her is very nice indeed. He also told her that while he feels they are doing allot of good for people in dire needs that there are guilty benefits as well. He said that over the past two years he has made more than he would have in gp (due to the large volume of patients he can see on the web)in ten years. He is a great guy (so she says) and it makes me happy knowing that they are doing this for more then the obvious cash.

Thanks for the help.

Ni

Meowsie, MVW (actually someone at Ken's) explained it to me this way, if you pay for the meds by CC then they use Fedex, if you pay by money order they use UPS. I have no idea why. My last shipment came on a weekday, we know Saturday's are different just by the price, I don't know if the CC vs money order payment option comes into play with what method they use to deliver. Stones what method of payment did Lovie use, if you don't mind telling?

I'd also like to comment that even if the OP uses UPS it can still be deliverd on Saturday. Some companies have a contract with UPS and even though they are not open to the public on Saturday, they do make deliveries on Saturday for clients that have this contract.

Happy Valentine's Day - EVERYONE!!!!

BooBetty,

What pharmacy is MVW using now? I have always heard of them using a place called Ken's, which I believe that they own. Did they switch to another pharm?

Also, how much do they charge for #120 plus shipping? Just curious, I've thought of trying them out.

Thanks!

Betty, I was past my refill date, at least 5 or 6 days, when I did refill it came from Ken's pharm the very next day. But I don't know if it comes that quickly if you order on the 23rd day.

They still use Kens but they used a different one, the one that they were using for me on my first refill debockle was water street. Matt was wonderfull and helped me out and started the proccess over again for me at a different pharmacy(they have many pharmacys I guess). I was just wondering if you still call because there is a refill button on there site. But I have to say that my order has never been updated and so I think I will just call. My sister will go first so I will see how she does. Thanks for your comments..they always help...Boobetty...

let me answer my own post to say that they charged me $163 for shipping and meds last month. I am hoping that they will ship my meds this time with no trouble. I will keep ya posted.

No problem with this order, came in tact and watson brand, sure hope that they stick around cause I have finely found a pharmacy that I can call and talk to ..I actully called this morning and they gave me my tracking number. So that is great and I am a happy camper. Matt did help me in the past so all the things that I said before came from my heart that was feeling a bit had. Staying at at least a #5 pain level is a hard task....good luck all..I just wanted to put a possitive spin on MVW from me so that everyone knows that they do answer there phones, and I did get a tracking number and the comunication was great...they are good people at Kissimmee Kens...bye now..Boobetty
