Although I've also asked this in the "How much w/Updates", I thought I'd try here, too.(I've also e-mailed the company too)
Question:
In Pharm88, they list 2 separate dihydrocodeine products. I'm unclear, as to which one is the "Didor Continuous" or timed release one.
"Dihydro Codeine (Reza)" 30 mg/$30.00/30tabs
OR
"Codesic, Dihydrocodeine tartrate" 30mg/$34.95/30tabs
*I suspect it it the "Codesic" because it is the one listed in the "How much w/Updates" Didor, Contugesic, Dihydrocodeine Section, but I want to be sure.
Anyone know for sure?
Thank you.

Could be wrong but I don't think either is time release. It's just one is brand name and one is a generic.

Weird, I emailed them and asked them the same question but haven't heard a response back yet. Yeah, I was bored last night and thought I'd do some searches. DHC seems to be very hard to come by! I've been watching pricing, etc. for months and wonder if it's worth the money??? It's getting more and more expensive........One of those meds I haven't tried so I'm curious. I've never tried Ultram, either.......I'm satisfied with my current meds but it never hurts to "shop around" and see what's out there! ("But if it isn't broken there's no point in trying to fix it!)

Dihydrocodeine Tartate is what you are looking for, but I don't see a mention of "time release" on Pharm88's description. I don't know if there is such a thing. I'd check around because I could swear I've seen Contugestic 60mg adverised even cheaper. http://www.biotran.co.uk/pain.html

Check it out...

I have ordered DHC from them im not sure if their time release or not? Maybe someone else will post if they know. I was happy & got much needed pain relief before I started using NWW.
These are the ones I had ordered that worked for me im not sure on the other one though..."Codesic, Dihydrocodeine tartrate" 30mg/$34.95/30tabs

Look in the forum "Who Makes it, How Much, w/Updates" for Contugesic or Didor or DHC.
Also do a search for threads that have those names. The are lots of very well informed people who can explain much better than I can.

After some fumbling around, I figured out that what I'm looking for is the same Contugesic that I got at Pharma24 that they're not carrying now.
The moderator of the "Who carries it, How Much, w/Updates" forum on Contugesic/Didor/DHC call it "continuous", so I thought that meant timed-release. It might not.
Awhile ago, I got some "dihydocodeina bitratrato", a small white, round tablet with a score, that was in no way like the Contugesic I had gotten before.(no pain relief). It was called "Paracodina". The Contugesic that I want is a slightly larger, white, rounded rectangle with a score on it. No writing on either. I had assumed that the Didor Contugesic Continuous was timed-release and the Paracodina was not, and that was the difference. But it looks like I was wrong.
Not to be fussy, but I really don't want to pay for more useless Paracodina. I don't care if what I get is timed-release or not. You know how it is--I just want what I had before.
Does anyone know the difference between these two?
Also, if anyone has received from Pharma88 or from Biotran, could they please describe the pill's appearance?
Anyway, thank you all for your attention.
--Ellen
P.S. I did get an answer from Pharm88 the very next day..and on a weekend, to boot! I hear good reports on them in threads. They said neither is timed-release. (but, of course, I was asking the wrong question).

Dear "theborg" ("those" Borg?),
There is a DHC listed under the letter "C" and another under the letter "D".
If you've seen it, what does the "Codesic" pill actually look like?
Thanks.

I was unaware that IOP's actually had any DHC left. I've contacted several IOP's directly and they've told me that the pharmacy's aren't stocking it yet or that newer laws have made it almost impossible to get! If you try and order Contugesic the IOP's generally will offer you a substitute like, Codeisan, paracodina, or their version of Vicodin: Tylenol 3, and Purderatas (sp) which is 50 milligrams of codeine. The Contugesic that I recieved last summer was white tiny oval shaped tablets with the initals "DHC" on them, almost unrecognizable. If someone knows of a place that TRULLY has DHC; I'd like to know.
Thanks, Moby.

im not sure what seems to be the problem here with this thread, someone asks whether the DHC from p88 is time release or not, and its answered, "no" and now people are still asking other questionssuch as if asking if anyone has DHC? also to same user, check new thread on who has it with updates.

OK! Now I see. I wasn't aware of that page. I just clicked on Pain at the bottom of their main page and it only lists Codesic.
There is nothing written on this pill. It looks like an aspirin with a split down the middle.

I always did the same thing borg, just clicked on 'pain'. If I'm wrong somebody correct me but I think when you order they send whatever one they have in stock. I've received both and always order the same one.
