Deliveries on President's Day?
      #137231 - 02/14/04 09:11 AM

I guess the banks and post office will be closed Monday - does anyone know if UPS and Fed Ex will be delivering on Monday since it's President's Day?

Most government agencies are closed on this day but i don't think too many businesses consider this a major holiday. As Fedex and UPS are private business, my guess is they would be open and delivering. I could be wrong but I've seen deliveries on big holidays by these guys, especially around Christmas. turcica

It varies from pharmacy to pharmacy. I know that some of them have been closed on any recognized holiday and others have been open all holidays except thanksgiving, christmas and new years eve.

It seems like only government offices (and government-dependent businesses like banks) close for this holiday. There are exceptions of course, but President's day seems to be one of the more 'minor' holidays. Hope everyone gets their delivery

Just in case anyone is wondering, I called DHL/Airborne and they are delivering as well. Makes me a happy camper, my tracking says I have two pgks due Monday!

Last delivery from them was supposed to be signed for, I wasn't home and the pkg was left under the door mat...I was shocked to say the least. And the one before that was also supposed to be signed for but my mail carrier left it in my mailbox. Not that I minded one tiny bit. Three deliveries in the past 4 months all stating sig required and haven't signed for one of them yet. Fine with me.

Rxter,

Is it Airborne who is leaving your packages without a signature. I use to receive my meds via airborne about three years ago from OPS/Gardendale. I always have liked Airborne'a service much better than UPS or FedEx. They would always call me the day of the delivery (a live person, not a computer) and tell me the c.o.d. total.

However, I read that they were bought out by DHL. I wonder if they still have the same excellant service that they use to offer?

I wish that more OPs would use Airborne as their courier. The only one I know of that uses them is Cyber Scripts.

roxeanne:

I have three IOP's that currently use Airborne/DHL. Two of them provide tracking, one does not. When one is out of the product I need, I simply use another. I will say I am extremely happy with the way the product is packaged and shipped. So far none of them have let me down, all orders have arrived in 22-24 days, even though two of them were in transit at the time of the Airborne/DHL merger. No seizures yet either. When you go to airborne.com it takes you to DHL site and when they answer the phone they say DHL.
